parade question

It looks like the parade will be everyday around 5:30 when we are there. We would like to leave for dinner around that time, is it possible to get out of the park during a parade or is it blocked off?

You can get out, but it is super crowded, like a fish swimming upstream... One idea is to take the monorail into DTD....

Only one... Over by Nemo sortof... And it drops off in DTD not far from rainforest cafe. Only those two stops.

Or if you are not by there I have taken the train to Main Street and as long as the parade is not getting done on that side (night one should be coming from IASW right?) you should be able to leave fairly easily cause everyone will be waiting for the parade and you don't have to walk down Main Street which is the hard part. Though need be walk the stores on the Emporium side is pretty easy because most of them connect except for where the restaurant is I believe. Though train is really easy, or if you are on the wrong side of the parade route for the monorail and thats what you want take the train to Tomorrowland and you can get on the monorail there which is nice if you want to eat in DTD.

I have a parade related question and will piggyback on this thread

We have reservations at 4:30 at Carnation Cafe. Do you think we'll be able to see the parade at all (5:30 start time) from there? Or do you recommend we go to the 3:00 parade before our ressies?

We love watching the parade from the sidewalk there, but you probably won't be able to see much thru the crowd from inside Carnation Cafe... you'll be able to hear the music though.
