hi all,

I seem to remember a while back some one posted about the best places to stand for the parades. We will be going first week in April, will there be just the day one or will we get to see he evening/nigh firework one too ?

Its just that we will be travelling with ds(5) who is mildly autistic and I want to try and get a quiet spot :rotfl: ! LOL ! 'can't you just tell its our first time .... or at least a spot where he will not be pushed around s hehas a real issue with people too close to him.

I am going to try and take a doctors letter as someone suggested before - exactly what could this help with though as ds suffers from anxiety, and sensoryoveload as to ofhis main problems.

Also, totally off the point what i the toilet situation in the park ie are there many, what are the queues like and are the clean :rolleyes1 - sorry but little one also suffers with a few little probs in that area and I normally won't go anywhere without doing a toilet reccie on arrival and am panicking as park is huge and I'm sure I will have other things in mind on this trip .

Thanks in advance as I know soeone will help - you guys really are amazing with the knowledge you have about DLP x

If you contact City Hall and you have a letter I'm sure you will have a great time. There are disabled sectioned off areas on the parade route so that you are not amongst the hustle of the main crowds :)

There wont be an evening parade or fireworks when you are there only teh day time parade and candlebration.

Having a letter from your doctor may mean you can avoid queuing for rides which may be better fro your son if he doesnt like people crowding him and as already mentioned be able to watch the parade and shows from disabled areas. Make sure the letter states that your son has problems with people crowding him.

There are plenty of toilets round the park but some do tend to have queues if the park is busy. We have found the quietest (and cleanest) ones are the ones in the arcades off main street

Thanks for the info.

How did you know about what parades will be on as I can't find any info on the websites .....:confused3

The evening parade- fantillusion usually only takes place during summer and Christmas seasons.
As the no of nights fireworks are allowed are limited these are usually during summer and special events eg Halloween, Bonfire night, new years eve
