I've heard that it's possible to get your kids in the Disney parades. Is this true? How do you do it?

We will be there in 48 hours!!! It's my kids' first trip, and I want to make it as memorable as possible!

Thanks!

To pick the children who are smiling big and waving and have that wide eyed excitement you only see on the face's of a child.It wouldn't hurt to let a CM know you children would like the opportunity to be in the parade.Have a great magical vacation.::yes:: :wave2:

Hi,

When we went on the KTTK tour in Dec., they said there's only one CM that gets sent out to pick out ppl for the parade. She did say that they pick the SMILIEST ppl at random.

Good luck and ENJOY!!!

Like Danny1649 said, let a CM know! It doesn't hurt to try!

Have fun!!!!::yes:: :teeth: :teeth: ::yes::

In Feb, 2000 we watched the midday MK parade and were across, more or less, from the Bears Gamboree. A cast member was roaming around and asked children between, I would guess, 6 and 10 to come out and be part of the entertainment. When the parade stopped, he came out and brought the kids out to do a little skit with some of the characters.

This was just random luck for my grandchildren to be part of this, but if you are hell bent on such an experience, beyond luck, then you will need to spend a day scoping out the activities at the parade, and then position your family so as to be "selected". Other than tha, take a few $100 bills and bribe a CM to put your loved ones in the right place.

my nephew was picked out of the crowd in jan '03. he was 8 at the time. we were in front of the ice cream shoppe (the name escapes me right now) at the top of main st.

like the poster above said, the parade stops and the cm picked about 10 kids in the 6-10yr age range. and they all participated in a skit with wendy.

i have it on videotape! it's one of my favorite memories from that trip.
