Parade/meal

Just wondering if there are any outdoor restaurants at either park where you can have a meal and watch a parade or even get good firework views?

I don't know if DCA still does an afternoon/evening parade. But we sat oustide at Wine Country Trattoria a couple years ago and had a perfect spot to watch the block party bash go by.

There are little places on main street, but the crowd fills the whole street and would totally ruin any view.

You could eat at Carnation Cafe but I think it would be difficult to get a good view because everyone would be standing on Main Street in front of you.

We didn't have much of a problem seeing the parade from Carnation Cafe. While people would stop on the sidewalk and try to stand there and watch, CMs kept making them move along since it wasn't a designated "viewing area". I suspect this may be so that the people in the restaurant are able to enjoy the parade too.

We ate dinner at Carnation Cafe, here is a photo of "Celebrate" from our table.

We had a great view, there were people standing all along main street, they weren't blocking our view at all.

My DD loved watching the Celebrate parade while we dined at Carnation Cafe last year, we also like to have dinner @ Wine Country Tratoria while the Pixar parade is going by.
