Does anyone know if you could buy these cheaper somewhere else. Thought I would get some and then give them to the kids before the parade. If I remember they are very expensive from the carts.

You can try ordering them from Disneystore.com when they have a % off sale. Or try craft places, they sometimes have Disney light ups though not the same as the ones in the parks. They are usually the light spinners.

The light up spinners were the ones I was thinking about. There used to be a disney outlet in St. Augustine Fl. on I-95 but I think it has closed down. Craft stores, are you talking about Micheals or AC moore?

I'm not sure when your trip is, but if you check Michael's after a holiday they are really cheap, usually in the clearance toy section. Also if you have a local craigslist or craigslist type site, or even if you just put on facebook that you are interested in buying light up spinners, many people have them lying around in toy boxes unused. A couple of batteries is much less expensive than a new spinning toy.

I bought one of those spinning light changing colour toys at Walmart for $5.00 versus the $15-20.00 charged at the parks. However, it didn't have a WDW logo on it.

Also, we take our light up toys with us from past trips, just replacing batteries if needed. It saves a lot of $$$.

Target usually has some on an end cap display in the Toy Dept. I can't remember if they are Disney or just plain though.

Smart planning! I bought some stuffed animals, t-shirts and pajamas before our trip - Disney.com with free shipping, 50% off sales, etc. I think I spent $50 total and had a nice little stash to bring along. In addition to saving a TON of money we saved luggage room because these were already packed going down so I knew they would fit coming back. And the shirts/PJs had already been washed and were ready to wear AT Disney World vs. just buying them as souveniers and bringing them home. I don't think our kids ever even realized that I had brought the stuff from home either.

Check your local consignment or thrift stores. My SIL found three Mickey light-up spinners for $1 each before our trip last year :goodvibes
