Parade Help for a newbie

Our daughter's High school marching band is in a Disney parade dec 28. We are headed there to watch of course. Has anyone else ever been involved in this and does anyone have any recommendations - ie where to watch from? Any usual spot along the route that the band would actually be playing at (not sure if Disney sets certain locations for them to play or not). Any recs would be helpful. Haven't been to Disney in years.

While I have never had a kid playing in the band, we have watched quite a few performances. They march and play all along the parade route. They don't stop anywhere I've ever seen.

Just did this with my niece this summer. They do indeed march the whole parade route, and don't stop. What I did was confirm when they would be marching and in what direction. We had several family members there to take pics/record the band, so we split up and some of us stood in front of the Harbour House, I stood at in front of the Railroad station on Main Street. Both places worked for pics and vid.

For this parade (the bands marching), people did not crowd up to the route extra early, so it wasn't hard to save a spot.
