Parade FP+ if cancelled

Last time we were at WDW, we went to MK two times at night, and the MSEP was cancelled both nights due to weather. I have FP+ reserved for both MK nights (right now). If for some reason there is a cancellation again, is our FP+ just lost? Do we possibly get an extra for the next day? (going Friday and Saturday)

I'm pretty certain that you would lose your FP+. Unless there happen to be something open for you to rebook it for that evening.

The idea that the parade can be cancelled has caused me to rethink my planned days and is causing me stress!!!! We also go this weekend and this is one of DH's priorities!!! Doing the "no cancellation dance" with you...

It is "technically" lost. BUT there are FP+ invididuals (they have different outfits) who can do ANYTHING for you if you ask nicely enough. They would know if the event was cancelled the night before. So if you ask really nicely there is a very good chance of them giving you a extra FP+. Anything is possible.

We were there 3 weeks ago, during our splash mountain time it closed I received an email saying I had a FP that could be used for any thrill ride. Email as follows

Alert: Change to your upcoming Disney FASTPASS+ experience

We're sorry, your previously confirmed FastPass+ selection for Splash Mountain® from 4:10 PM to 5:10 PM on 04/06/2014 needs to be changed because the experience is temporarily unavailable.

As a replacement, you may now visit any one of the following FastPass+ experiences on 04/06/2014, starting at 4:10 PM through anytime during normal Theme Park operating hours (Valid Theme Park admission is required and your FastPass+ selection cannot be redeemed during Extra Magic Hours):

We also had a rider swap while Dd and DSIL went on, I kept my DGD1. They actually got stuck on the ride, they were give any ride paper FPs. We had saved up some rider switch FPs from BTMR and Space Mountain so they handed those to a couple they had been chatting with on the ride.
