What directions do the parades move?

Am I going crazy or did the MSEP reverse directions before when there was two parades a night?

MSEP used to reverse directions on days when it was twice per night. The first parade usually started on Main Street and headed to Frontierland. The 2nd parade would reverse that and go from Frontierland to Main Street.

Now it typically goes from Main Street to Frontierland both times. I'm sure they do this to avoid the giant mass of people all following the parade to the exit as it passed them.

FoF runs from Frontierland to Main Street (as does the halloween parade)
MSEP runs Main St to Frontierland

If the parade at MK changes direction of travel, it is due to some special circumstance that it
needs to go in a different direction (such as inclement weather or some pathway work.)
It does not just first go one way, then reverse direction for a later second showing.

HOWEVER
The parade that does "switch direction" if there are two performances on the same day was/is at Disneyland.

MK has a "loop route roadway" backstage (see my map) so it does not need to turn around to go back from whence it came as it does at Disneyland.
