Just thinking about a few last questions before our october trip, hope someone out there can help...

1) Where is the best place to watch the jamin jungle parade at AK and what sort of route around the park does it follow?

2) Same question as above for Stars and cars parade at MGM

3) one of our non park days will be spent playing mini golf at fantasia gardens then exploring boardwalk area. Where would be the best place to park and would there be a charge?

4) Anyone ever seenStanley from playhouse disney at the parks as my kids love to watch this

May thanks, Rachaelx

Hi Rachael,
A few answers and comments below:

1) Where is the best place to watch the jamin jungle parade at AK and what sort of route around the park does it follow?

---I don't know - we just sort of walked up to it and started watching (and as always happens, people pushed on top of us...i finally walked away and went in to get a drink while the kids and DH kept watching....i HATE pushy crowds)...

2) Same question as above for Stars and cars parade at MGM

---here i've got a great answer for you......the best place in our experience is on the steps of....oh oh...i don't know what it's called....there used to be a show there (Doug) but now it's empty...it's the building that's attached to the drew carey thing...geez...i need to go look up the names for you....but it's right in the center of MGM....where that little lake is...you sit on the steps (part of the steps are roped off for VIPs....but the other part is open).....it's great...shaded....sitting on a relatively comfortable stair....we've sat there a few times...and usually it's still available within 15 minutes of the parade....i'll see if i can find the name of the building for you.....

3) one of our non park days will be spent playing mini golf at fantasia gardens then exploring boardwalk area. Where would be the best place to park and would there be a charge?

-- i don't know....as i recall, we golfed here when we were staying at the boardwalk inn, so we just walked to it....it was a bit of a walk, but walkable....
oh wait...i bet there's a parking lot right there....since there's also a putting green there....if you're staying on property, just ask the bell captain, or the valet parking people for driving/parking instructions...they're always very helpful....
there is another mini-golf, Winter-Summerland, or something like that....if memory serves, it's right next to blizzard beach, so you can park for free in the blizzard beach parking lot....

4) Anyone ever seenStanley from playhouse disney at the parks as my kids love to watch this

-- sorry, never heard of him....

1) We found two places to watch the Jammin Jungle Parade that were good. Just before the bridge to Harambe on the left, there is a place where you can only stand single file :) Also it seems quieter at the Asia bit as this is the last bit of the parade.

2) We usually sit on the pavement outside of the shops, get there a little early and have a Mickey Bar :)

3) There must be parking at the Mini Golf, although as we are staying at the Boardwalk we just walk over. Are you eating in the Boardwalk area too?

4) Who's Stanley ;)

Hi and thanks for your suggestions so far..,
We are staying off site so will be driving to the mini golf. Just wanted to know if the boardwalk was close enough to walk to from fantasia to save moving the car.
Stanley is a little cartoon boy off the playhouse disney channel who has a fish for a best friend called dennis. Together they learn all about animals. I had heard rumours he appears at AK sometimes..anyone know, Rachaelx

Hi Rachael - here are my thoughts on your questions:

1) We've always found it to be a comfy spot in front of the Pizzafari restaurant. You can grab a snack/drink whilst you wait and there are fans overhead :D

2) At MGM we like to grab one of the benches in between Echo Lake and the exit for the Indy show. There are quite a few along there, but they can get snapped up 30-45 mins before hand. Because there are fewer people in this area - the viewing areas at the sides of the route are quite narrow - the interaction with the parade is really good.

3) If you park over at Fantasia Gardens it's around a 10 min walk to the Boardwalk, via the Swan/Dolphin hotels. Alternatively you can drive to the Boardwalk, but depending on the time of day and how busy things are you might get directed to the overflow parking across the street. From there it's a 5 min walk back to the Boardwalk.

4) I seem to remember Stanley was in the stars and motor cars parade when we went in May, and also part of the Playhouse Disney show, along with Bear, etc. You might also catch him at Rafiki's Planet Watch at AK - I think he was there also when we visited.

Hope this helps,
Paul

We have seen Stanley at MGM (in the Parade) and also at Animal Kingdom (at the entrance to Camp Minnie Mickey).

Ask at any Guest Services and they will be able to tell you when and where any character will be that day.

Yes, there is a parking lot (free) for the Fantasia Mini Golf, though parking at the Boardwalk would also suffice (also free, but sometimes with a time limit if you dont valet).

Stanley and his great big book of everything (is that him who you mean ?) I am sure he appeared in a show at MGM which also featured Bear in the big blue house and other characters. This was last October so it may have changed. Shows were at regular intervals through the day. The building was to the right of the chinese theatre as you look at it from the entrance.

We also saw him in Animal Kingdom at Rafiki's planet watch (where you get on a train to an area where you see vets at work etc.) where he was just meeting and greeting people......

Hope this helps......

Just to confirm that last time we saw "Playhouse Disney Live on Stage" at MGM Stanley was part of the show. I don't think they've changed it since we saw it. My children loved this show, it's perfect for littlies (they were 3 & 6 at the time)

Just to confirm that we met Stanley at Planet Watch - Animal Kingdom. He signed and took photos - whoa - big head tho. And right next door was Pocahontas! Nice.
