Parade Advice?

We will be in USO 10/25 and the parade that day is at 5. We plan on watching somewhere near Horror Make-Up Show. Any tips on the best spot to sit in that area and how early should we plan on getting there for a great spot? This will be our only day to watch the parade so we have no problem sitting for awhile to have the best view! TIA!

Parades aren't like at Disney. I wouldn't worry about camping out too early.

damo is correct........you don't need to stake out a place early.........

We like just outside Mel's diner.......or outside the Mummy depends on what we're doing next......

Does the parade still start and end at Horror Makeup Show? We would like to watch the beginning of it at 5 and then make our way back to Diagon Alley for the last hour the park is open if anyone has advice on where to sit right at the start of the parade.

Coming from someone who has been to universal 5 times over the years - there's a parade? Never knew, but then we are not really parade people.

Parade will go pass the mummy ride
It turns by Louie's and travels down that street

The last lag of it as it circles towards the front is by horror make up show

I was there this past week and after the parade went past me near the mummy , i walked over and stood by horror make up show to see it again

If you plan to leave the park once you see the parade, go to the front of the park by DM and watch the parade from that area or by Betty book section

Once it passes through, you will by the entrance of the park and can leave from there without large crowds

Thanks mac!! We plan on hitting Diagon Alley after the parade. The parade is at 5 and park closes at 7 so we wont have much time at all. Any advice on best spot to watch the parade and get back to Diagon Alley?
Does the parade pass by Café La Bamba and then turn towards Louie's along the water? I was thinking that area or up across from Starbucks so we can head straight back to Diagon Alley.
Suggestions---please!!

Parade enters from other direction

Starts after Louie's

It turns right and ar that corner and does a stop near mummy taking up that street

From after that turn to the left, it goes to the front of the park turning left again

You could see the parade when it is at the mummy and then head to DA feom there
