I've been to WDW 4 time and have yet been able to enjoy the parades. I have an up and coming trip and would like to finally enjoy the parades at MK can anyone suggest a better spot. I thought i'd seen a post about staking out a position by the rail at the railroad platform(more details needed). I gladly let small children in front of me and i'll sit on the ground to provide a view for others but this time around i don't want to lose out due to a child that was push up to the front and then got upset because daddy wasn't by her side he then came forward and stood in front of me and then mom joined them and then all i could see was the tops of the snowglobes so much for finding our position a few hour in advance. Here to hoping you guys can help as i reeaallly want to be able to see the Christmas Parade.

Sit on the curb on Main Street. Nobody can get in front of you because they can't sit or stand in the street. So pull up a curb and enjoy a front row view. You will need to actually sit though. Otherwise I promise someone will worm in front of you. Other thing, you'll need to scope out that spot a minimum of 45 minutes before the parade.

Another place I always sit is in Liberty Square beside the bridge by the Christmas Shop. I find the holes in the sidewalk where they string the poles/ropes and sit just behind them. And stay there. When the parade comes from Frontierland going towards Main Street (parades can go either way) you have a great view as they come around the bend. I'm barely 5 feet tall, and if people try to push into my space I just say NO. I must admit I have been known to get testy, but if I've been there for an hour then it's my space and I WILL see.

yeah you more or less need to not allow people to push you around when it comes to the staking out a parade or fireworks view site - depending oin time of year I would get there an hour and a half early if you want to make sure you get a spot.

Hi, We always have to get to the parade early because we also are small. Like Kilee said you have to sit on the curb on main street well before parade time. We usally get something to eat and just chill. Sometimes the kids take turns running into the gift shops but usually by parade time it's been a long day and the rest will do you good. Enjoy your front row seats. Gina
