THANK YOU! I loved daBoo's cube unit and color organization, the flat drawer idea (turned out too expensive) and Lisa's neat and tidy solution. I finally took ALL the paper out of the rack, in color families, sorted from dark to light and stored it in USPS priority mail boxes (with the flaps on one end turned back) and standing in the shelving unit that supports my work top. MUCH better use of the space than the tub of stickers I had there.

Christmas paper/stickers, disney paper, disney stickers, letters and word stickers, page protectors have a pizza box each, and are now on the shelf of the file cart I had been using for paper. They weigh MUCH less. One of the leftover shelves displaced by the paper boxes now fits on top of the file cart, so I gained an extra workspace!

As soon as I solve one last little problem - scraps - a photo will be forthcoming on the space thread, but I wanted to thank you gals for being so helpful - your suggestions were GREAT!

The new organization has refreshed not only the space but my creativity, and I can't WAIT to get back to scrapping!

Well..... I use the "oh-so-fancy" "used Priority Mail box" system that I heard about here on the DIS, primarily for my solid color cardstocks. I currently have about 5 or 6 of them and they are chuck full. They are sorted ROYGBIV (I don't have a particular brand preference). I also have MOST of my Disney papers in Priority mail box. More of my assorted patterned papers are sorted by theme in a couple of 12 x 12 accordian folders, and then anything that came in a pack together (such as DCWV or SLAB) are each in individual 12 x 12 stacking drawers. It is a bit of a random system, but it seems to work for now and for the most part the price was right!

I keep the Priority Mail boxes that contain solid cardstock right within arms reach, but I do have to get up off my butt to reach about half of the patterned papers.

FWIW, if you are interested in the wire cube system and you live in New England, I have recently seen those cube kits selling at Building #19 for about $8.99 each..........................P
