Paper 5/$1 at Joanns!

I just happened to be a near a Joann's yesterday and checked the scrapbook section and found they had open stock paper 5/$1. They had LOTS of Disney paper, too! Time to stock up!

This is good since I'm going shopping tomorrow. I'll have to make a stop by. I'm lucky though that my Michaels, ACMoore and JoAnns are all within 5 minutes of each other. I regularly hit them all. LOL

How long is the sale? I know AC Moore is Wed-Tue and Rag Shop is Sun-Sat. I don't shop at JoAnn's, but 5/$1 paper shouldn't be passed over.

Ok I stopped in today but I had my DH with me so I only grabbed some of the paper and didn't really look around much. I bought $4 worth of all different Disney pages. LOL They have really been remodling my store lately in the scrapping department. Its looking really nice.

I just got back myself too. They were pretty cleared out on the types of papers I was interested in. They used to carry the mickey head punches and I haven't seen them in a LONG time. Anyone know the status of this? I think I would like to get the swirl one. Any info would be great thanks. Or which other "major store" might have it... would like to use coupon if possible.

So, I finally figured out JoAnn's website and found the sales flyer with the 5/$1 paper. At 8:15pm last night I learned that the sale ended 8/4 and that the store closes at 9pm. I rushed out to JoAnn's, which is less than 10 minutes away, hoping to find papers to complete DF's book.

I didn't think our JoAnn's had a wide selection. The store is old and small. I almost thought they didn't have a scrapbook section, but I found it. Two tiny aisles of stickers and papers and other necessities that I paid little attention to since I had a limited amount of time and money to shop. I drew a slight panic when the 5/$1 signs were absent, as were the 40% off stickers not signed. I figured they had removed them in preparation for closing already, but checked with the cashier to confirm they were on sale.

Anyway, I did find some paper that suited my needs. I got a black with gold and music bars and notes for RnR pages, bluish prints for Sea World pages, a harlequin paper, a few Mickey Mouse papers and some other prints, 10 sheets in all. I was finished shopping in minutes. $2.00 and change made my night.

I wish I had read this post earlier this morning... I stopped by Joann's today for the sale and found out it ended yesterday. Oh well.
