PAP or new tickets-please help

We will have 6 days at the parks in Dec and I planned on getting PAP. I was also planning to go again next year, but not sure when or for how long. Should I just get the PAP or should I get hopper tickets or UPH this year and the new tickets next year. I will probably try to get at least a 6 or 7 day trip in next year. Thanks.

UPH(LOS) for 6 days: $292
Current 6-day PHP: $288
Minimum price for 6-day pass next year (no plusses): $222

So it looks like any way you slice it, the PAP is your most economical bet, assuming you are confident you will return for at least 6 days next year. However, the math gets more complicated if you are not going to go to a major park each day you are there. In that case hoppers may come out cheaper. But if you are going to go to PI or DQ frequently, the PAP is definitely the way to go.

Thanks for doing the math. We do visit DQ at least once. Do you know if the new Magic your way tickets would be a better deal than the current PHP or UPH. Thanks again.

The MYW tickets are a better deal than the current PHP for 6 or 7 day tickets, because the price is roughly the same but you get an extra plus. In addition, the plusses now include DQ. The MYW tickets are a much worse deal for stays of 5 days or less.
If you will use at least 12 park days in the next year and go to DQ once or more per trip, I would say go with the PAP.
