I purchased the PAP deal last fall thinking that we'd activate them this September (when my DD is 3). So we got her a pass.

We decided to sneak in an extra trip this weekend and I'm trying to decide what to do. I have to pick up the passes for me and DH, will they let me wait to get hers? Should I or does it make a difference?

Just trying to figure out the pros/cons and the rules.

Thanks!

Until she is 3, no pass is needed for Theme Parks or Water Parks. It certainly can't hurt to ask at Guest Services when you pick up your PAPs. I agree, it would be more convenient to get all of your PAPs at the same time and I can't think why they would really care if you got it a few months early. If you wait until she is 3, she would have a few extra months before her pass would expire next year, but the convenience of having all of the passes on the same expiration pattern is probably best anyway.

Enjoy! :)

DS and I picked up our PAPs one day. They couldn't just process ours without doing *something* with DH's (he was not feeling well and was back in the room), so they gave us a pass that worked as something like a placeholder for DH's PAP. When he was feeling better and could go, he went back to GS, turned that in, and was issued his PAP.

I assume they would do that for you, too. Just don't lose the pass, or keep a copy of the confirmation you got, so that in case you lose one thing you don't lose everything. (though I bet they could also look up the transaction by name...but it never hurts to have extra confirmations)

Wait! I am confused. If I orded 5 PAPs and have the little cards in hand (the ones they send you that I guess you turn in to activate), ALL FIVE people have to activate them at the same time? That doesn't make any sense. I have a solo visit planned for early next month (work trip nearby) but husband and kids won't activate theirs until they travel on our family trip in August. Please clarify.

You can get just yours.

You did it differently than we did. I ordered online and just had an email confirmation sent to me. Nothing was sent to me in the mail. I'm guessing you called, and had those items sent in the mail to you? Having 5 cards in hand is not what our situation was.

Well, if you can wait, I would, otherwise it will expire a year from when you activate it and she's not even three yet. That's a waste, IMO. Unless you're not going to go but only that one time in September for the whole next year, then it doesn't matter.

But I would wait if you can.

I just picked up the APs I had ordered for Dh and myself. I was activating mine and I had to pick up DH's but he won't activate it until we go back together. I actually like having them expire differently as it spreads out spending the money on the renewals. So while you will have to actually keep up with a ticket it won't be activated until you are there wand she is three.

Hi everyone,

Just to update, because it was on one e-mail confirmation I had to pick them all up at once anyway. DH stayed back in the room with DD while she napped and I went to the park to get them. I got all three and ended up using it so that she could get TSM fast passes, which she didn't need b/c she was under 3, so we gave to a friend who met us there.

We have quite a few trips planned over the next year so I don't feel like I was shortchanged getting it before she was three.

But thanks for the input.
