Is anyone concerned with the impact on the water parks with the food of new PAPs coming to the World? Wondering myself how many more people and how much larger the crowds will be at the water parks. Technically I'm paying no more than a normal AP (w/DVC discount) so I'm not worried just curious how bad the crowds will be.

Enjoy!!

JMHO, but I suspect that the impact on the Water Parks will be minimal, particularly when you consider that "high" season for DVC tends not to be in the hot summer months. In the past, one water park or the other has been closed during the winter for "refurbishment".

Now Disney Quest, on the other hand.......

Some will take advantage of the PAP benefits, others will not. Restricted purchase window and restricted use window my limit buyers. For our family we no longer visit the parks like we used to and we don't do the water parks so we won't be in the market for a new pass.

I will probably buy the DVC PAP because the price is lower than a DVC AP and the extra merchandise discount but will not go to a water park.

It depends upon who I travel with. I'm not a water park fan, but friends (who are not DVC Members) get all the options on their MYW tickets. If I travel with them next summer, I may do a lazy river float. Really, I just got the PAP for the shopping discount and it was the right price.

Remember that DVC is less than half the onsite rooms, and I doubt most long time members will change their normal travel habits, even if water parks are included.

We are at Disney right now and got our DVC PAPs on Saturday. We won't be using them for anything other than the 4 regular parks and the discounts. Same when we go in May.

I think people will just get them because they are cheaper and not that many will actively use them.

There are probably many like me who just got the DVC discounted PAP by upgrading an AP renewal not because of the addition of the waterparks but because the PAP gives you a 20% merchandise discount at all the WDW park and resort stores.

Typhoon Lagoon wasn't that crowded yesterday.

:thumbsup2, we may hit one of the parks for a few hours(it would be a first).

I don't think there will be an appreciable difference in the overall attendance at the waterparks, but it would be nice if it syphoned off some guests from the parks.;)

We will pick up the PAP voucher and will use it several times during a trip but won't devote a whole day to it as we typically would do on a waterpark day.

I anticipate utilizing it primarily late afternoon in lieu of resort pool time but may combine it with PM hours as we've done in the past. Likely older teens will avail themselves of it sans parents if permitted.

We're really looking forward to the perc.:)

With a 12 year old and 9 year old, we will be using the water park feature when we get the PAP more often. I was still planning to go on my trip in November to Blizzard Beach anyway so in the end no difference except it saves me a few dollars.

My guess is that the PAP discount for DVC was offered because DVC members as a group utilize the water parks and other premium options less frequently than other Disney visitors.

I do not think those who take advantage of the discount will overwhelm the water parks.

While our family may go to DQ once during the PAP term, I'm getting the PAPs because they cost less than the DVC discounted AP and give us a 20% merchandise discount. We're not much for swimming or water parks. :)
