My aunt (mother to 3 children) had a major meltdown on our last trip. We were in the mk for spectromagic and then to watch wishes. it was pretty crowded and we were outside the cp on the corner. It was awful, and she wanted to go home. through much convincing, she stayed but the trip was a lot of hard work for her. needless to say, we don't want a rpt of the last trip. she has come a long way and I know will want to triumph over the last episode.
is there anywhere in the mk where we can stand in the mk where it is not too crowded to see the parade and wishes that won't drive her over the edge again? she wants to see them in the park....

The first trick is to try not to insist doing things and being places that will cause a meltdown to happen. We found a good place is on the second floor patio at the train station at the entrance

As far as a less crowded area to watch the parade, try Frontier Land. Near Country Bears. As for Wishes, behind the castle is a different experience, but it is very good. You actually have a lot of the fireworks coming up on either side of you. You don't hear the music a well and the show was designed to be seen from the front of the castle, but, and this can be a big thing, THERE ARE PLACES TO SIT DOWN. The seats are outside of the ice cream place between Snow White and Pooh. There are a lot less people back there. Another option for both would be watching by the train station. This could give her the peace of mind knowing she can get out. And then when it is over you can beat the crowds.

thanks, i was also thinking of the upper level of the train station but wasn't sure if we'd be allowed to hang out up there for that. I'll be sure to suggest that spot!

This is not good for the parade, but for Wishes we have watched from the Grand Floridian dock.
