Panic about Disney Dream

I'm a teacher and have always dreamed about going to Disney on a non-school holiday time. We have gone twice on holiday times and it was too crowded. I decided to take a few personal days in May to go non-holiday time (May 17-22). We'll be staying at GF concierge (another dream). When we made these plans, I didn't know about the 50th celebration. Now I'm panicing that it will be packed. What do you think?

I am also a teacher and booked May 19-24 because we get out earlier than most schools and thought it wouldn't be as busy! I have also been reading about the 50th celebration and am concerned too! Sorry I can't help you figure out if it is a good time or not, but I will be watching the posts to see what all the Disney experts on this site say!

Isn't it funny that everyone thinks it is great the times we get off, but what we want is to be off a random time to go to WDW! I have gone twice during the school year using personal days attached to a weekend (Oct and Dec) and thoroughly enjoyed the less crowded parks! However I am going the on our teacher workday night this summer hoping to beat the summer crowds!
