Panic about Aulani reservation

We have been planning our Hawaii trip for about 5 months, and as I get closer to making our reservation for the Aulani portion, I'm beginning to hyperventilate a little. We are trying for a to check in 12/25, checking out 12/1. I'm worried nothing will be available, and I'll be homeless! We needed to book our airline, as we were using skymiles, and this waiting is killing me! At least at DW I knew I could get in somewhere, but with Hawaii this is a real waiting game. How are the rest of you handling this wait-I'm going crazy!

We're hoping to do the same at Aulani next year but we'll be going longer over Xmas, probably 11 nights. We'll be using skymiles too but I think I'll hold off and book until I get the room booked. I've been checking online several days and it seems even a standard view 1 bedroom has been available everytime I've checked so far. I think you'll be able to get something. I'm not too worried about next year since there should be more inventory as they sell points but who knows.

I think you are already too late. It looks like there is nothing available for all 7 nights. Absolutely full 12/28 through 1/1. Some availability 12/25 - 12/27.

Best of luck. At least since Aluani is in active sales, DVD should declare more units into member inventory before then.

Of all recent new DVC properties, Aulani has had the strangest marketing program. After the legal issue hit the fan, sales were canceled in many markets and I haven't read anywhere that they started again.

It may be a while until additional units are declared.

Thank you for the timely advice BobNed! We are actually going to be in Hawaii from 12/20 through 1/1, but were planning to use Marriott points for a portion of the vacation, ending at Aulani from 12/25 through 1/1. Based on BobNed's info, we flipped it, booking Aulani from 12/20 through 12/27. We couldn't get our first choice (2bd poolview) but got all 7 nights ocean view. At least we are in! Thanks all!

That's outstanding! I'm glad you got something, although those ocean views are pricey. We'll be there from 12/1 through 12/8 in a 2BR ocean view too. I can't wait. Hope you have a wonderful trip.

Great news! I would be checking onto the available views. Many seem to prefer the pool-side ocean views vs the outside (non-Disney facing) "ocean" views.
