Possibly weird question, but does anyone know if the paneer at Sanaa is pasteurized?

Not sure but am assuming so. You could ask your server to find out from the chef though.

Nikki is correct to ask the chef just to be sure, but I did ask my chef hubby and he says paneer is normally pasteurized as you have to boil it to make it,

1) Yep.
2) Can't really call it pasteurized, as that denotes a highly controlled process.
3) But, due to the cooking, in this case it amounts to the same thing.

Thank you all! I'll definitely ask at the restaurant, I just wanted to get a heads up on whether or not I need a back up plan. Meals are serious business, and I will be 18 weeks pregnant when we go so.. even more serious business

I love paneer cheese, I get it from our local Indian deli..However I would ask your server to make sure..
