Pandora Wait Times

We are going to WDW in Mid September and I've been watching the wait times for the new Pandora rides in AK. I got a fast pass for the river ride on the 59th day before but could not get one for the flight ride. How early do we need to get to AK (and I'm not sure when the buses start out of BWV) assuming an opening time of 9AM so that we are not stuck in a 150 minute line?

Buses begin running at around 6:30 every morning from a Disney resort. Be at the park by no later than 7:30

We arrived at 7:50 last Tuesday and were off the ride and getting into the NRJ line at 9:17. If we had gotten there at 7:30 we likely could have done both by the same time

Thanks everyone. Guess we will aim for an early day. PS The flights ride does not open till 9am, right? So they let everyone into the park early but cannot get on rides before 9? I'm used to MK where everyone waits outside the entrance till 9.

If you're interested in an alternate strategy, there have been recent reports of 40 minute waits for FoP and 10 minutes for NRJ around 9 pm or later. These seem reasonable compared to the 200+ minutes waits in the mornings.

Good tip! we did the same thing for Frozen and got on in 30 minutes when it first opened. I'm just happy that my DS 22 still wants to go to Disney with us.

The day we went, they let us through the tapstiles around 7:30 (for an 8 opening) and we were shuttling through the pre-ride rooms for FOP by 7:45. They do sometimes open at least a little before the posted opening.
