If you were going to get only one brand of bracelet/charms, which one would you get, Pandora or Chamilia?

Never heard of the second one (sounds like a disease!). I like my Brighton. My younger DS & DDIL gave it to me and add to it for every occasion.

Chamilia has the Disney charms...they even sell them at WDW...but Pandora doesn't. I have a couple of Disney charm bracelets already, so I don't really need to have a Chamilia for that.

The charms are quite expensive for both brands, and I don't want to mix, so I thought I'd ask opinions on which one to get since I can only get one brand right now.

I'm going to check out Brighton!

(Sorry - didn't mean to be snarky!) :)

I looked up the Chamilia and wow - those are pricey!

I have a mix of both. I don't understand why you won't mix?

I  my Chamilia bracelet, but it has a few Pandora charms on it too. :thumbsup2

I just got a Camilia bracelet yesterday as my Mother's Day present. I love it! DH did his homework with the girls at work and found out that Camilia had Disney beads so it was a no-brainer :rotfl: Our local store doesn't carry the Disney line so each of my children picked out a bead that represented themselves. DS got me a turtle and dd got ballet slippers. Then they got one that said Mom for Mother's Day and the bracelet, ofcourse. Can't wait to add some disney beads.

They sure are! I definitely like Brighton's prices better.:thumbsup2 The Murano glass charms are so pretty.

I have a troll beads bracelet because all the different lines of beads fit on it. I have a mix of Chamilia and Troll and Zable beads on them. Zable is the least expensive with $18-$20 the average price for a bead. Pandora is the leader of the pack in price at least that's what I've but that could just be my taste :) But the others aren't too far behind in price.

I have a Pandora bracelet with at least 2 of the Chamilia Disney charms. I don't really like the majority of the Disney charms so that wasn't a big deal.

Pandora's glass beads are also Murano glass so there is little difference there.

Neurotic or not, there is really no reason not to mix them.

I am a huge Brighton fan- not just the bead bracelets but everything.

Just an FYI- Chamilia beads do not fit on my Brighton bracelet. I never had any interest in any other beads or bracelets, only my Brighton, until I read on these boards that Chamilia makes Disney beads. So I found a store here that has the disney beads and tried them on my bracelet, but the Brighton bracelet is too thick- the Chamilia beads have holes that are too small for it.

So once my Brighton fills up (DH and kids give me a couple beads each holiday) I will start on a Disney bracelet!

I have both but I prefer Pandora. Chamilia beads are a little too shiny for my taste.

I have a 2 Trollbeads bracelets, one with a Disney bead on it and a Pandora bead on it. I don't mind mixing mine at all, and you can't really look at them and pick out which brand beads they are. I keep saying I'm going to order some beads from this site, but so far I haven't ordered anything. Their prices are great!

I have a Pandora bracelet, but it has a mix of Pandora and Chamilia charms on it. I received most of them as gifts, and each one has a special meaning behind it.

If I had to pick a line, though, it would be Chamilia. I like the detailing on them a little bit better, and they have the Disney license.

DBF gave me a Chamilia bracelet for Christmas, and the few beads I have now are all Chamilia as well. Where I'm shopping, the Chamilia beads are much cheaper than Pandora (a good $10-$15), and I think they're much nicer.

His sister was the one who pushed him toward Chamilia - he was looking at both that and Pandora, but she told him that Chamilia was better. Not to mention that every woman in his family - mother, sister, SIL - all have Chamilia bracelets.

I have a pandora with a couple of Chamilia beads, but if I were picking just one, I'd probably go with the Chamilia just for the Disney beads. My favorite bead is a Chamilia, but it's my favorite because of the reason it was purchased, not just because it's a Chamilia (It's a fish that my husband bought me on the way to our first Phish concert.)

I agree with this. I like some of the Chamilia charms adore my Eyeore and frog prince, but I think most of them are too bright and cutesy for my taste.

I actually started out with a Chamilia, and was not pleased by how some of the charms were wearing (gold loss), so I switched over to mostly Pandora, but kept my favorites of the Chamilia.

I do have to say after wearing my two nearly full charm bracelets for 2.5 years that the Chamilia charms have not held up as well.

I bought a Chamilia bracelet yesterday. My store gave me a free bracelet if I bought 6 or more charms, which I did. ;) For me it was more about the bracelet itself than the charms. I went with the flexible bangle style. When I first loaded up the traditional style, all 7 of my selected charms fell to the underside of my wrist due to the weight. The lady said that people to complain about that and it is one of the reasons that they fill up the bracelet quickly. So, I decided to put the beads on the bangle and since the bangle doesn't turn, all the beads stay on the top of my wrist. I absolutely love it!

I'm going to a store tonight that sells Pandora. I can't say if I will mix or not.
