pandora flight of passage during early Extra Magic Hour

Is there a good chance to get on this ride if you show up right when AK opens for the early extra magic hour? My friends are going next week but all of the fast passes were taken the first day they opened. So I suggested trying this option. Has anyone tried this? What kind of wait times have you had?

Also, keep checking and re-checking the FP availability as the dates get closer.

Yes! I did this three times in January. Arrive at the AK entrance 75 minutes before scheduled park opening. They will let you in the park about 45 minutes before scheduled opening. Power walk direct to Pandora. They will hold you back until 30 minutes before scheduled park opening. Then they open FoP and you walk in a line that doesn’t stop. I got off the ride at 9:00 am on a 9:00 am scheduled opening. And I got off the ride at 8:10 on an 8:00 am EMH morning. All three times the line for FoP had grown to a three hour wait by the time I got off the ride.

40 minutes early isn’t enough time because the park will open 45 minutes early.

The standby times goes to 220 min (3+ hrs by 8:20am per Touring Plans. I pick 4/16)........ but the ride is sooooo good!

If EMH is 8 am, they had better show up at 7...no later. Even though EMH says 8am, they open the gates closer to 7 or 7:15.

How fast do you have to walk to get back to the ride? I have had several back surgeries and have a numb leg so while I can walk somewhat quickly I can’t power walk or run. I fear the crowd would surge past us and we would be at the back of the pack even if we start out st he front. Or do they walk us back with the big rope like they used to?

I have done the Pandora Run twice with EMH mornings in the past few months.
I always get dropped off by my Uber at 6:45am at the Uber drop off.
I get through bag check by 7:15ish
To the Tap points by 7:30 ish
Bridge by 7:45
Pandora entrance by 7:50 and On and then off FoP and River Journey by:8:10.
I did this once first week of December and then repeated the first week of February.

I will be repeating this EMH morning plan on 4/30.

Lots of people will walk faster, run faster, push their strollers faster, etc. just like the mornings I did this. It doesn’t get controlled until they stop everyone at the Pandora entrance. If you are one of the first people at the tapstiles and walk as fast as you are able you will get on FoP in very good time. When you get off the ride the wait will be three hours long. Don’t worry, you don’t have to run.
