Hi all! We have an upcoming Disney trip in which AK will be closing at 8pm on the night we're there, and we are SUPER excited about seeing Pandora at night for the first time. We currently have a Yak and Yeti reso at 6:30pm for that night. I actually made that before we knew it would be open so late. I'm wondering...can you walk over to Pandora from Yak and Yeti area after 8pm to see Pandora lit up, or do they close off that area after it's closed? I'm wondering if we'd be better suited just making sure we're on line for Flight of Passage or something at that time.

Thank you for the help!! :)

Did you get your Landry's Select Card?

8/14! Extended hours just got announced for that day
Not such a GOOD thing, however...
In mid-August, it won't really be "dark" at WDW until about 8:50pm, or so.
At 8:00pm, the sky will still be fully bright.

If you want to see what I mean, set your phone's alarm for 8pm today and take a look outside.

Yeah unfortunately, it will still be bright sunshine outside at 8pm.

If you were going when it's open later, they typically won't let you access other lands if you finish dining after the park closes. A few months ago we saw the 7pm Lion King show, got out at 7:30pm. Park closed at 7pm. CM's were standing along the route out to prevent you from walking anyplace other than the exit. We would not have been allowed to Pandora; they wouldn't even let us exit the park that direction.

If you finished before park close and hightailed it over, you'd be fine.
