I need Pandora advice! We are visiting in November. This will be my first time to visit Animal Kingdom, and we will have a 3 year old and 8 month old. We were not able to get Fast Passes for FOP, and our Navi fast pass is in the evening. We want to rope drop Pandora. I know my 3 year old will want to ride something as soon as we get in the gates. Do you think we can ride Navi first, and then rider swap FOP? Is it reasonable to say that my husband would wait about an hour? (We are going on a Monday during morning EMH.) Any suggestions for what I can do to entertain the kids while my husband rides FOP?

In your scenario I would probably go to flight of passage first, get the rider swap, then take your three-year-old to the river journey and meet your husband in the gift shop after flight of passage. That would minimize everyone's time in line because the flight of passage line will build if you all ride the river journey first. Alternatively you could take your son to the Triceratops spin after getting the flight of passage rider swap, But that would involve much more walking. I think to minimize your time in line any scenario should start with you going straight to Flight of passage.

You can also go to Satuli Canteen and get some breakfast, or go to Pongu Pongu and get the Pongu Lumpia. Also you can go to the store that sell the banshees. Even if you are not getting one, you can try them.

In late August we did FOP first at rooe drop. By the time we got out which was still before official park opening the line for FoP was 100 minutes. So I think going to Navi will make the wait untenable.

I have to agree with PP's. Go to FOP first and get the rider swap. You could then try standby for Nav'i by yourself with the kids, go to the gift shop or Satul'i or double back to some of the animal trails, the Wilderness Exporer's booth or even go over to Dinoland and ride Tricertop Spin while you wait.
