I can't tell you how gorgeous those 'basket-bowls' were! I'd love to have a few myself! The tub was fabulous!

Loved the pictures of the room!!! WOW it is gorgeous!! Although I have to agree they do need to put something up on that back wall of the kitchen area LOL. 3 bathrooms...how fun!!!!!! I am sure that worked out well for you guys!!!

I definately thought it was much nicer than our SSR room! not that SSR was bad... its that whole 'pretty, but with no personality' thing. AKV had tons of personality and the theming was amazing!

You will love it there!! Just be warned that it is rather dark... especially at night and in the bathrooms. Alot of browns and beiges. I had no major problems other than putting on makeup, but Jen said the low lighting was hard for her to use the bathroom mirror in the morning for getting ready.

Somehow, silly me has missed this until now, but, Paula, I am so pleased that I was here in time to see your arrival at your beautiful Kidani room!

Wow! Beautiful room! My husband and I are staying at Kidani in a 2 bdrm villa next year. I can see why you chose AKV because of the bathroom. I would, too! Can't wait to see the pics of the view and balcony!

My pics definately don't do the room justice! It was amazing! That master bath has to be at least 10x10.... it's way bigger than any bathroom I've ever had! Even the walk in shower was easily 3.5x5feet and it had a bench inide too! I actually had the ironing board setup in there all week...and the room was STILL huge! Our villa was a dedicated...I think the lockout ones are a little different. I really am in love with that bathroom....I think I'll have to remodel Kyle's room, after he graduates

Sprry I am a little late to welcome you back! I enjoyed your first two updates. I'm glad you had an eneventful card ride and flight. We had the very end of the A group last trip and we will still in the back of the plane - just Denny and I. The only good thing about being back there is the close proximity of the bathrooms - just in case.

I love your Kidani pics. They take me right back to last June. I love that place - so beautiful.

Looking forward to reading more. I want to hear about it all...and, of course, I want to see every picture!

I dunno....I wasn't hiding Jen is not a (how do I put this) a 'fun-loving, smiley girl' That's not to say she's grumpy... I guess you could say she's 'Stoic' I'm very glad she decided to comealong,we got along very well, which suprised me...since we have nothing in common and have never spent more than a couple hours together at a time since she married my brother 15 years ago!!

Glad you liked the villa!! Allison says that's our 'home' and is now quite unhappy that we are staying at OKW in Feb hehehe THATs my girl!

Totally different feel than your beloved beach Club... but seriously, I could spend a 3 day weekend at AKV and not leave once with NO problem at all... and thats not bad considering I'm not a pool person!! I did get to enjoy the tub...sans the wine, but it was so relaxing I dozed off! Thank goodness I didn't drown

Sorry I didn't get another update done this week! I decided to take my 2 midweek days off (in a row!) to paint my living room, while no one was home! I got it almost all done. I have to to a little area about 2ft high by 8 ft wide over a doorway yet. I had the piano there while I painted behind it... and Tom just helped me move it this morning. But I got all the furniture put away,and the new curtains up~ yay! it'lllook pretty for Christmas now! I'm going to paint that little spot tomarrow am....but it shouldn't take too long so hopefully I'll get an update in tomarrow am too

I had read a suggestion about taking a lighted makeup mirror somewhere....that's not a bad idea. Too bad my OL is now STUFFED!! Can't keep one there

So since I'mleaving you all hanging otherwise... I thought I'd at least give you a photopass pic to look at this morning. I love this pic!! Talk about seeing the thrill in a childs face!!

In other News....
Allison did pretty well for her 1st meet of the season. 1st on Beam (9.4), 3rd on floor (9.0), and 3rd All Around(34.4).... for it being a new level for her,and her being nervous, I think she sis pretty good! Bars were a bit dismal, but she has 6 months to get those scores up! She qualified into Sectionals with this meet, so at least thats outta the way. Thanks to everyone who sent some pixie dust and good luck messages to her!
