Hello! I am trying to find out some addt'l info on the food at the princess brkfst in Epcot....I saw the menu on Deb's site, but also read some posts about seeing people with pancakes and waffles there? Has anbody had either one there? Are they offered, but just not on the menu? Is it a special request item? I booked an ADR there, but didn't realize they weren't offered....I'm the only one in my family who eats eggs! Yikes! I don't know if I should keep it or cancel...I don't want to spend the $$ if there will be nothing that they will eat...help! Also, can anyone tell me if the breakfast meal has any type of self serve buffet portion or is it all served to your table 'family style'? Just wondering...I can't tell you all how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE these boards and all of the info they provide!! Thanks!!:goodvibes

They did not have either when we went last year. They did have lots of pastries on the buffet tho

We went for dinner because I didn't think we'd enjoy breakfast. Dinner was very good...I had lamb stew and ended up swapping with one of my daughters...she was enjoying her chicken but because she doesn't like sauce on it she found it dry. So I took her chicken, dumped the sauce they had brought on the side and she finished off my lamb stew. They also had a buffet table with salads and appetizers and meat/cheese, which was very nice. The desserts kinda threw us....we'd read about the three selections in the menu and had debated which we each wanted to have, and decided to get one of each so we could try them all, and instead they brought over a large plate with one piece of each! So we ended up with what we wanted, but that was rather surprising. I wondered how that might have worked had DH been with us, as there was only 3 pieces. As a family we don't mind sharing obviously, but 3 desserts with 4 people might have caused a small riot at our table, :rotfl2:. I didn't think to look and see what others were being served...maybe larger parties got more pieces?

If you're worried about the breakfast foods being liked, I highly recommend the dinner. I've heard that the breakfast is chaotic and loud, and while our dinner was certainly loud it seemed very well planned and executed by the Princesses.

Oh...and we had Belle in her yellow dress taking pictures at the door....then Cinderella, Ariel (in green?), Pocohantus and Jasmine (in a cape) come around to the tables. They spent quite a bit of time with the girls, signing autographs, admiring their outfits (special Epcot ones I made), and photographs.

My biggest complaint about the place was the lighting was low and made photographs difficult....flash washed everyone out and no flash made everything have a yellow/gold tint. But the kids love the photos so it's only the perfectionist scrapbooker in me that wished for better lighting. Or maybe I need to learn more about my camera.

When we went this past summer, waffles or pancakes weren't offered. But, a table near us had mickey waffles. So, of course we asked if we could have some for our table. We did get the waffles but our CM explained to us that they are not regularly offered. She then went on to tell us that they are only offered if someone at the table has an allergy.:confused3
I would go back in a hearbeat the food was pretty good and we were able to see the characters without any problems. The lighting is low but, if you have your camera set correctly, it shouldn't be a problem at all. We actually were able to take some wonderful pictures of our experiance there.
