Panama Planning

Enterprise is at the port, they normally aren't open Sundays BUT changed their plans! I believe you can NOT do a one way rental from them, however.

Budget is at 249 East Ocean Blvd. Long Beach and their phone number is 562-495-4316. They are about 6 miles from the pier and they will re-imburse you $10 of your cab fare over there if you do a multi day rental. This is who I am using to drive home to Arizona.

There is a Hertz about the same distance also, I think you can look that up on their main web site.

That help?

.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Well, at least a crying jag 'cause it's all over!

.

You beet me to it. I am going to do laundry, and see Indiana Jones the day we get into L.A. I don't think I will be crying until I go to work the next day.:sad1:

Yes, thank you. I had found Enterprise but then discovered they were closed on Sunday.:scared1:

For those on the eastbound - we are hoping to plan a trip to the Queen Mary while in LA and wonder if anyone else is planning to do this or has done it and can advise. We are staying at the Grand Californian and do not want to hire a car and just cannot find any tours there.

Please for those of you on the westbound can you get a copy of the wine list and prices for me please. Really need to do a bit of serious planning here.

Another important thing that I have never managed to find out. Coffee mate/coffee whitener. Can you get this onboard as normally have taken my own. Cannot drink coffee without this and if you can get it would save me packing.
Many thanks.
Brenda

I was just reading the Passporter Guide to Disney Cruises 2008 and they had a whole page about the Queen Mary, I guess they stayed in it the night before their cruise in 2005! That would be fun! Do you have that book? They spoke of their experience staying there and a self guided tour. www.queenmary.com is their website. Otherwise you could probably try the Passporter website as they say they have a trip report from their cruise and it might have some info about it. Good luck, that sounds like fun!

I would ask the WBers to get what the can, menus (even pictures of the menus), Navigators, etc.

We can post them if space is needed, but can you get them for us EBers?

This is a post I made earlier covering this.

CABO I say try to go DCL, as you will get off the ship quicker, maybe an early DCL tour then you can go by yourself for a walk in the afternoon and tenders back should be open, there will be a delay getting off here if going your own so if booking the Dolphins there allow time.

Acapulco, Cici water park with Dolphins is the best Dolphin interaction I have ever done, in a salt water pool, no waves, and lots of interaction, better than Cozumel and Costa Maya.

Problem here is on the E/bound we are in very early and leave early, the fort is directly opposite the ship, you will see it, just over a footbridge, The old market is two streets behind that a 5 min walk, but not sure how early they will open, fort I think Will be 9.00am for a cheap trip market maybe 10am, but could be earlier if they know we are in.

Beware of the yellow jacket tourist 'helpers' they are unofficial there and pester you a lot, a firm NO and another NO maybe required.

W/Bound repo in Acapulco , I would say do it on your own, cliff divers by taxi and Market/fort. E/BOUND the issue is the breakfast time we are in.

ARUBA

A great beach pristine is just to the left of the ship a short walk, and no need to book a DCL trip, to the right a big shopping mall with designer shops.

A pirate boat trip has been booked by the E/bound Cruisers.

Cartagena Columbia.

Do a DCL trip re security there, and take care shopping is reasonable but Gems Emeralds are not the bargain you think. We went to an approved shop and looked over some emeralds, very carefully, and when checked at home they had a flaw and were cost price in London, exactly the same. St Thomas was far better.

Puerto Vallarta

Has a great town and beach, worth a tour of the old villages or go for a tour in the mountains, there is another great Dolphin place here you can book yourself.

I recommend the pirate ship here and book by yourself.

I'm told they will be open (at least they are going to be on 5/25). So give them a call...don't just go by their web site. They just won't do a one way rental, which is what some folks wanted, for driving home to other parts of the West Coast.

Enterprise will do one way rentals but you have to pay a drop off fee and you have to call them to book it, you can't do them on their website.

Agree, great plans on that site.pirate:

We are thinking of doing the Queen Mary as we do not really want to do the park we will have a couple of spare days when we get back to Florida for that.

Still trying to plan it and cannt find the information on Passporter it will not let me in the site again.

See being an Angeleno this statement I do not like. As much as I enjoy WDW and I really do. I will take Disneyland over the Magic Kingdom any day of week and twice on Sunday. I am taking this that the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland are idenical. They are not. If I missed interpited I am sorry. This is the way I took it.

So being a Floridian should I get worked up about your opinion??? Nah, it's just someone's opinion for goodness sake! DL is the original but I think WDW has so much more to offer. I haev been to DL on two different trips and I would still take WDW MK hands down every time.

Hold the horses here. I was just stating my opinion. Not trying to start anything. I just think comparing the two is like apples and oranges. But if you really want me to get into it I will. I was saying the the post gave me the impression that Disneyland was the same. It is anything but. That is what I was trying to say.
