Looks like I won't be able to afford a trip to Disney before the big Christmas extravaganza this year (see countdown below :teeth: ), so my BF and I are taking a short trip to the beach in June just to get away for a few days.

We're staying in Mexico Beach-- very quiet and non-touristy (my grandparents used to live there which is the only reason I know about it!) It's only 20 minutes from Panama City....

Can anyone here recommend any good seafood restaurants in that area? I'd appreciate some cheaper recommendations but I'm willing to splurge for something really special. I'm a seafood fiend!!!

:teeth:

Try Captain Anderson's. Great seafood fresh from the dock. A little pricey but worth it.

Capt. Andersons is great, but Bayou Bill's Crab House is awesome also. We ate there Sat. night and it was FAB! Have fun!

Capt. Andersons is hit or miss with us.

We can't go to PCB without eating at Pineapple Willys. We have never had a bad meal here. We love it!!

Have fun:D

Captain Anderson's is consistently rated the #1 seafood restaurant and it is definitely worth it.

I don't know if it's still there or not because I haven't been to P.C. in years, but there used to be a restaurant called The Treasure Ship. It was very pricey for seafood, but they had the best Sunday Brunch around. Lots of buffets, eggs/omelettes, etc. cooked to order and mimosas.

Completely agree. Last few times at Capt Anderson's was a let down. Pineapple Willies is a great place to eat. Angelo's is a good steakhouse, never had seafood there though.

I prefer Hamilton's over Capt Andersons any day.

We ate at a little place in Mexico Beach that was across the road from it seems like a condo area. It had the best seafood chowder I've ever had! The shrimp were great too.
As far as PC beach, there's always Capt. Andersons.

Thanks everyone for all your suggestions. Looks like Captain Andersons is a must-do, and now I have some other ideas as well. :teeth:
