Panama City Beach Hotels

I have researched lots of hotels, condos, and vacation rentals. I am planning a four day trip the beginning of June. Has anyone ever stayed at the Sunpiper Beacon Hotel. Do you have any reviews or know anything about this hotel? I want to stay on the beach, have nice pools, and a kids program, but need something under $200 a night. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have not stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon, but I have toured it with the intention of staying there on a future trip. That visit changed my mind about wanting to stay there. It is not nearly as nice as it looks in pictures. The pool with the waterslide is tiny and the grounds were not very clean. We stayed at the Holiday Inn and liked it much better.

We have stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon and it was an ok stay. The thing I didn't like about it was that they make you wear a plastic bracelet on your arm during your entire stay. They put them on you when you check in and you must have it on at all times. They put mine on too tight for it to be removed, so it got on my nerves while sleeping, showering, etc.

We stayed there about 10 years ago and still joke about it. It was cheap, and we got what we paid for. FYI, I don't like the Panama City beaches that much, I prefer the area between Panama City beach and the Destin area.
