Panama Canal Cruise

I am SO excited My TA called to say she has secured the exact suite we wanted on the New Year Panama Canal Cruise from Acapulco to Barbados in December 2007 She called just 10 minutes after bookings opened. She was even able to book upgraded seats for the long flight. As this is over our 30th Wedding Anniversary, it's a special cruise for us

Yes- we suddenly realised that Tony will retire the following Christmas and we're then going to buy a Round the World air ticket and go away for 6 or 8 weeks. So by doing this, which is still quite costly as I'm sure you'll know, we can save a bit for the "big trip"

I am beside myself with excitement today as the girl from Cruisekings rang me at 8.40 to say she'd got the exact suite we wanted, plus the flight upgrade - which for that long charter flight is essential to us.

I might approach you later re Round the World tickets - if you're still TA-ing.

Don't you love it when a plan comes together?! Which cruise line is that with, Gill? I see you're off on the Arcadia this weekend. What's the itinerary for that? Hope you have a fab time. We join the NCL Jewel for an Eastern Caribbean two weeks on Sunday.

We always cruise with P&O. On Sunday we're off to Vigo, Lisbon, Cadiz, Tenerife, Grand Canaria, La Palma and Madeira. Next March, 30 of us are flying to Barbados and cruising back to Southampton and then this new one in December next year. All of them on Arcadia.
Plus we've found time for a Florida holiday in September.

I noticed from your post you will be stopping at La Palma on your next trip in a few days. We stayed there a few years ago- just a last minute trip that i found by chance and loved it. It is such a nice island, rearly unusual, and hardly anyone there apart from when the cruise ships arrive. We did a tour of the island and had a brilliant day, i would highly reccommend it.

(ps: I loved it so much i'm reluctantly posting this- its such a nice place i don't want it to get popular and spoil it !!!! )
