How does the complimentary luggage transfer from Pan Pacific to the cruise terminal work? Do they pick it up from your room and bring it down to the terminal? At that point do we pick it up in a certain area or will we not see our luggage again until it is in front of our stateroom door?

Yes call bell services have your DCL tags on, they deliver it directly. You do not see it again until your stateroom.

Yes, we loved staying at the Pan Pacific before our cruise last year. Even better than Hyatt MCO since we didn't have to have the bags ready by 8:30. We just called the Bell Desk when we finished packing them up.

Even better was getting up in the morning and see the ship right there. DS and I took an early morning walk along the pier right next to the Wonder. Such an awesome way to start the morning.

Oh, another tip for those staying at the Pan Pacific. The windows have small vents along the bottom that can be opened for fresh air. Open those up when the ship arrives. We loved being able to hear those announcement chimes coming from the ship while we were getting ready :thumbsup2

I had no idea about the small vents. I will have to make sure they are opened. Simple thing make me happy.

Second question. Has anyone heard of them losing one's luggage? I am a little paranoid.

We just stayed there 2 weeks ago, the hotel is fantastic, and the luggage transfer is seamless. Just call bell services and they collect your luggage and you'll next see it onboard. Just don't forget to put your DCL luggage tags on.
The Pan Pacific has great viewing areas to see the Wonder pull in if your room doesn't have a view of where she is docking. There are floor to ceiling windows all over the lobby and lounge, and a great deck you can walk out on to see the Wonder pull in. All i can say is it was amazing to sit in the concierge lounge and see the Wonder dock around 645am, my husband's comment was "I can't believe they are backing the ship in".
When you are ready to board all you do is take the elevator down to the lobby, and transfer to the elevators by the check in desk and it takes you right down to the cruise line check in. One tip is we arrived right at 11, and immigration was a little chaotic. There were 2 ships boarding at the same time, so the lines were long but finally I heard "Welcome Home" (we were on the member cruise" after about 45 minutes and we were onboard.
Let me know if you have any other questions...our cruise was amazing, and the weather was spectacular. the temps were 70's or 80's everyday and not a spec of rain....i know that was not typical but we enjoyed every second. Alaska is mind blowing beautiful!!!!! Enjoy your cruise, plan lots of time on deck to just watch the beautiful scenery and the whales!
