I figured if anyone would know the answer to this it would be on the DIS boards. This is for those of you who have pampered chef items. Does anyone have the recipe for caramel oatmeal bars or caramel oat bars that you make with the large bar pan? I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I have the recipe called Caramel Oatmeal Pecan Bars that is in the little recipe book that came with the pan. Hope this is what you were looking for.

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups quick or old fashioned oats
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 1/4 cups caramel ice cream topping
1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and baking soda in large mixing bowl. Cut butter into flour mixture with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Reserve 2 cups of the crumb mixture: set aside. Press remaining crumb mixture onto bottom of bar pan. Bake 10 minutes. Spoon caramel topping over crust, carefully spreading to edges. Add pecans to reserved crumb mixture; sprinkle over caramel topping. Bake 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Remove to cooling rack. Cool; cut into 40 bars.

Sounds good. I may have to try this one day (if I can work it into my Weight watchers)

Pampered Chef consultant chiming in...I did a recipe search and couldn't come up with a recipe that is specifically called Caramel Oatmeal Bars. I did find something called Chocolate Caramel Oatmeal Chews. It originally was for the Rectangular Baker but I am pretty sure you can use the Bar Pan for it too. Maybe this is it.

Chocolate Caramel Oatmeal Chews

2 C quick or old fashioned oats
1 3/4 C all purpose flour, divided
3/4 C packed brown sugar
1 t baking soda
1 C butter, melted
1 C butterscotch caramel ice cream topping
1/2 C chopped pecans
1 pkg (6oz) semi sweet chocolate morsels

Preheat oven to 350. Combine oats, 1 1/2 C flour, brown sugar and baking soda in Classic Batter Bowl. Add butter; mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 C crumb mixture. Press remaining crumb mixture into bottom of pan. Bake 15 minutes.

Combine ice cream topping and remaining 1/4 C flour in Small Batter Bowl; whisk until smooth. Drizzle over bottom crust; carefully spread to edges using Large Spreader.

Combine pecans and reserved crumb mixture in small bowl. Sprinkle crumb mixture and chocolate morsels evenly over caramel mixture. Bake 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Remove to Cooling Rack. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
