Now Here's the Dilemna...
We are traveling with our 2-1/2 year old DD and 8 Year old DS. I'm sure that he will have no problem keeping busy at all hours, but, we would like a little getaway from the DD once or maybe even twice.
We really want to do a nice Adult Only Dinner at Palo's and need your advice.
I understand that reservations for both Palo and the Flounder's Reef Nursery fill up pretty quickly.
How do we get both to coincide so that we can enjoy at least one romantic dinner without our children?
Should we use walkie-talkies while one stands in one line while the other is at the other Rez desk?
Or, is there another way?
Please Help!!!
THANKS!!!

Other Flounder's Reef Nursery Questions...
What are the time limits for each reservations? Is it Hourly(anytime), in Blocks of Hours, or Specified Sessions?
I understand that there is a (3) visit limit, are there any exceptions?
THANKS, Again

Hello Tony....
splitting up and using the walkie-talkies worked well for us.
I thought Flounders allows you to request whatever 'blocks' of time you want. I think - most of the sessions were 3 to 4 hours (3hrs = afternoons, 4hrs = evenings). I am not to sure and hope someone will confirm - or correct me. They will, however, ask you what 3 (or 4 - pending ship capacity) sittings you must have (i.e., Palo or spa ressies). Then, they will leave you a voice mail the day of/before confirming the appointment. Am sure you can return the following day to verify if you got the ressie you needed.
Eventhough our sailing was full...we were allowed to take our 2.5 DD to an extra session...it appears some people cancel...or, an extra crew member volunteers to work. The folks at Flounders are wonderful...take great care of the 'little ones'.

Have a great time at Palo...

Flounders has a two hour minimum. When you go on the first day to sign up, you can sign up for as many sessions as you like. They then ask you to note what your three top choices are. Basically you will get those choices. Any other times will depend on availability. We were given every time slot we signed up for which was one for each day on our 7 day. We actually cancelled many of ours and only used it two times. But at least we had the option to keep our times if we wanted to use them. With Palos, my sister made that ressie first then went to Flounders and told them when Palos was and they gave her that time in Flounders(which she later cancelled because we all chose not to go to Palos). Don't get all crazy about making ressies and worrying about getting times in Flounders, this is supposed to be a vacation and to spend the first hour on ship running back and forth really isn't worth it. Have fun!!!

On our 4 day we did Palo first (went before the scheduled opening time & they were already taking reservations) & then went to Flounders. We had no problem getting the 3 times we wanted. The ship wasn't full, but there were a lot of babies & young kids on board.

I have been reading A LOT of recommendations to book time every day and then cancel what you decide you don't want/need. I didn't feel right doing this, so we only requested what we knew we would use.
