Lets say I book Palos brunch & dinner. How close to actual given time can they be cancelled w/no penalty?
Has anyone ever gone to either alone? and did you feel like you were totally out of place?

We did both on our last cruise...they are fantastic...these are the meals you don't want to miss!

I believe you have to cancel 24 hours in advance of your reservation time in order to avoid having your stateroom charged for the brunch or dinner.

In all fairness though, you should cancel as soon as possible as many people really do want to attend either brunch or dinner but cannot secure a spot.

Id be lucky to know at 24hr notice if we will be attending or not
DH can and often changes his mind at the last minute
In that case I may just attend alone instead of wasting all the money - would I feel out of place doing so? Unless I can beg a fellow DISer to go in his place?

keep in mind that you would only be charged $10.00.....really not worth a minute of stress....

I would say go eat at Palo, by yourself if necessary. I used to travel quite a bit on business and have no problems eating in a nice restaurant (or even going to a movie) by myself. Bring a book, strike up a conversation with the wait staff (they're great), enjoy a great meal. I personally never notice if people are looking at the guy over there reading by himself, but I would think that they have their own meals to worry about. I don't think that you would be made to feel out of place, unless you do it to yourself. Go and enjoy!

imgoingtodisney,

I wish we were on the same cruise and we could dine together at Palos:) I am taking my nephew (hes 5) and want to do Palos, but will be alone, I wondered the same thing about going alone. I guess I had it in my head that this was an Couples ONly kinda place.

I wouldn't give it a moments thought.. tell your husband to grow up and go without him if he chooses to pout that day. You would only be loosing his five dollar cover charge. Who knows maybe you would have a cute waiter ;)
