My booking window opened yesterday and we didn’t get brunch! I was thinking of booking Palo for dinner. But I don’t know how the rotation works. I don’t want you to miss out on one of the dining rooms. Any advice? It’s our honeymoon so I’m trying to make it extra special!

Thanks!

Call DCL; they have a set of rotations that you can request from for your cruise. Yes, it's only a request, but I've always had it honored. Then, you can pick which night you want to skip a least favored MDR for Palo. This is our strategy. Not sure if you're familiar, but if you go to the disneycruiselineblog.com all the menus are posted so you and your (almost) spouse can mull over choices.

Either way, congratulations on your pending nuptials and enjoy your cruise!

I always advise, if it's your first DCL cruise, don't skip the Main Dining rooms. Save that for the next cruise.

I'll also add that DCL does hold back some reservations at Palo for booking onboard. Check the Navigator you get when you check in at the port to see where/when these dining changes are being done.

It's also not a bad idea to keep an eye online for openings. Our very first DCL cruise we snagged a Palo reservation about 2 weeks out from the cruise.

It isn’t my first cruise. It is my fiancé’s however. And we are on a four night. So one night I assume will be a repeat restaurant. I just don’t know which night.
Nights 2 & 3 are typically the repeated dining room nights. The second time you are in that dining room (night 3) is typically Pirate night, so you'll have a different menu than you had on night 2.

Same thing happened to us on our first cruise had no problem booking dinner but brunch was sold out.

We then checked every single day online until an opening showed up about 2 weeks out.

For a 4 night one, I'd probably suggest dinner in Palo during Pirate Night - which should show up on your itinerary now that you can check in. I don't hate pirate night menu, but I also don't need it.

I love the vegetarian noodle stir-fry on Pirate Night!

And I too have had success getting a brunch reservation when we boarded.
