We really want to experience Palo but not sure which night. Is it possible to get a Palo reservation once you board the Wonder once you've found out what your dining rotation will be or are all the reservations gone? We'll be on the 4 night cruise in Nov. TIA

Yes, it is possible to get one once you board, but you are better off making the reservation first and then trying to change it when you find out your dining rotation. Generally I like to go to Palo on the one night when you repeat a dining room.

Thanks but I have another question. Does anyone know if brunch is avaiable for 4 night cruises? I'd rather do brunch if possible that way I don't have to miss anything in the reg. dining rooms at night. I know that one night is repeated (I think it's the 2nd and 3rd nights that you're in the same dining room, but one of those is pirates night). Does anyone have any "this is what I would do" suggestions?

I believe they do brunch on the sea day, but with only one brunch it does fill fast.

We "double dipped" our Palo - we booked Palo during late dining when we had early. That way if we decided we couldn't miss our regular rotation restaurnt, we could do both (and eat lightly at the first meal). But that may involve the potential for missing a show.

If we have to miss one of the shows, which one? I really don't like not knowing what our dining rotation is going to be. That would resolve everything.

If you book for the day a sea they have the evening show at 2 PM. that way you can see the show, eat in the regular dining room and Palos. What a way to go.

Yep, that's the extra trick - do this on your sea day - you get show, regular rotation, and Palo.

I think there is usually a matinee on Castaway Cay day as well, if you can stand leaving the island. We did - sunned out by 2:00 anyway.

I don't know if it's changed, but on our 4 night, we repeated the same dining room on the 3rd night (which was also the Pirates theme night). For the entertainment schedule, this was the night of the variety show. Maybe a more recent 4-night cruiser can verify that this info is still correct.

Unless you're real big on the Pirate theme during dinner, you could skip the dining room rotation that night, have an early meal at Palo and then head up to the deck for the late night festivities. Brunch is great as well, but personally, I'd try to schedule both.

Brunch is great, and is on the at sea day. That is what we did on our first cruise. We didn't want to miss any restaurant, or Pirate night. Next time, having experienced those, we will book Palo the first night, if possible. We fly in the day of the cruise, last time having to be at the airport by 5 am. We are booked for late seating, so will be exhausted! Instead, we will eat early at Palo, then maybe go to late seating to meet our tablemates, and servers, and have an appetizer or salad with them.

Mickeyluv, my Passporter has "likely" rotations based on your party. NOT guaranteed, don't know if it would help, or if you just really want to know for sure. Let's see if I can transcribe...if your party is all adults, likely rotation is Triton's/Animator's Palate/AP/Parrot Cay. If you have young kids, rotation likely to be AP/PC/PC/T. Older kids in the party, PC/T/T/AP.

I can see how that wouldn't be fool-proof, depending on the make up of a particular passenger list. And I don't know what "young kids" means vs "older kids". I'd be interested to see if experienced cruisers can confirm whether this pattern applied to them or not...

Hope that helps.

Thanks! Anyone gotten back recently who could verify this particular "passporter pattern"?

On the 11-night cruise last September, we were 2 adults (we were seated at a table of 4, so we were with another 2 adults, and the table beside us was 4 adults) -- our rotation was A/P/T :)

Our 4-night was a while ago, but it was just DH and myself. We had the A/P/P/T rotation, so the Passporters pattern didn't really work for us.

Last January ('06), 2 adults: TAAP.

We were on a 3 day just a few weeks ago and the Passporter pattern did work. It was my mother, myself and my 14 year daughter (I assumed she'd be considered an "older child"). We had P/T/A.
