We have booked one lunch and one dinner for our January 24th Disney Wonder cruise.

No question I want to do the dinner.

If my next choice is to do the lunch or not I’d do the lunch however………if the choice was to do the lunch or a second dinner I’d take a second dinner for sure.

If I have a lunch reservation do you think it’s possible for me to offer to swap my lunch reservation for a second dinner once onboard?

Would my odds of booking a second dinner be improved with this offer to swap?

I don't think the offer to give up a brunch reservation would have any bearing on whether or not Palo had a dinner opening.

Now, if you found someone on your cruise meet thread who wanted to swap with you, maybe that would work out

good luck !

They will not let you swap officially--the rule is one brunch, one dinner per adult. The offer to give up brunch will not get you another dinner. You can go to the Palo reservations location (usually Rockin Bar D) after boarding and ask to be waitlisted for a second dinner.

I really suspect that your best bet is to find someone on your cruise meet who is willing to trade.

I'd take brunch over dinner ANY time....DO BOTH.

I can't claim to have an inside track to DCL's thinking, but my guess is that the idea is to allow each adult to have a chance at one of each meals (brunch, dinner, and tea). There are way fewer slots than there are adults on the ship, and I suspect they are trying to be fair to all.

If there are unfilled spots after the first day, they will call people who are waitlisted for a second spot, but no one gets a second seating till everyone has had a chance at a first.
