We are new to cruising so have a question on Palo.We are on the Wonder 30 August four days, as this is our first time we could only book at the 70 day window and did not have much choice ,we booked for the second night after Nasseau at 6pm .
My question is will we be able to see the sunset at this time and is this a good day, after our research we understand you eat the 2nd and 3rd nights at the same restaurant so by eating there on the 2nd night will not miss out .
We know when we board we could change if possible .Can we have your veiws .

Check the almanac to see when the sun is supposed to set. 6pm I think is a little early for that time of year. The view also depends on which way the boat is sailing. On the Western it seemed to set on the left. I feel that unless you are seated by the window you won't see much any way. Hope this helps.

By eating at Palo on the 2nd night you will miss the rotational menu for the dining room that night. The 2nd night you eat there it will be the pirate menu.

You may be able to change your night/time once you board. You can go to Wavebands (deck 3 forward) starting at 1:00 to see what days/times are available.

If my memory serves me right, the 2nd nite is the day at Nassua, the 3rd night is the pirate dinner as it comes after being at Castaway Cay. The 4th night you repeat the 1st nights restuarant. So on night 2 you miss out on one of the resturants. We always do Palo in night 4 that way we get to eat in all the resturants for dinner.

They've changed to rotation and you dine in the same restaurant on nights 2 and 3, with night 3 being the pirate dinner and party on deck 9.

Thanks for the info. So it sounds like the best thing to do would be to try to get Palo on the 2nd night of the 4 night cruise, so one doesn't miss the pirate dinner and gets to experience each restaurant?

6pm might be a tad bit early, but remember that dinner at Palo is a leisurely event. You'll probably be catching the sunset right at the end of your experience. I think that's perfect, because you'll be able to see the scenery all through dinner. Once it gets dark, you lose that beautiful view altogether.

We are on the 8/16 4-night and we are dining at Palo on the second night because that is the "Dress Up" night for that cruise anyway.
