Palo on First Night?

I know this topic is brought up constantly, but I am curious as to the possibility of getting res for Palo for the first night on the ship. DW and I will be boarding on the day of our anniversary, and I would really like to do something special that night.

I know I can book an REAS and try to get the res ahead of time, but I was curious about getting them if I didn't do the REAS. Thanks!

You should have no problem booking this if you get on the ship early. They take the reservations - first come, first served.

With it being your anniversary...the REAS package may just be the perfect thing to suprise your wife with. I beleive you can even order room decorations...with an aniversary motif so your cabin will be nicely decorated when you arrive. And don't forget to let your servers know...they have aniversary cakes and things to present the couple with at dinner time....even if it's not exactly on your aniversary date... You may want to call DCL to see what all they can do.

I was able to go to Palo the first day of our cruise and didn't have a problem, but we did go get reservations immediately and stood in line before they even opened up for reservations.

First night is usually the easiest to get ressies for. Only caveat is that if you have the APL rotation, the first time you're in Animators is the only time they have the special effects. We were planning to book for first night and the CM recommended against it for that reason. Glad we didn't miss it.

But for your anniversary, Palo would be excellent. A five star restaurant with five star service and a cruise at the same time. Can't be beat.

Just an idea...but you could alway book Palos for the first night...but at a time other than your normally scheduled dinner...so if you were to be in Animators that night....you could still show up for the show and dessert or starters. I guess also if you didn't book until you arrived....you would know what rotation you were in. Then again if you booked the REAS package you could request your rotation.
