What are your favorite appetizers, entrees and desserts at Palos?
Thanks, Angela:

The calamari was wonderful! So was the filet! The chocolate souffle was to die for! I think I need to go back!

The portobello mushroom appetizer was great as was the filet for an entree. Of course, the souffle was out of this world. I was not too excited about the crab stuffed tortellini.

the appetizer pizza was amazing, garlic and procutto..the beef tenderloin with blue cheese to die for,, DH loves the lamb actually there is nothing I have tried that is not amazing, oh and don't forget the tirimisu

If you love chocolate -- don't miss the chocolate souffle -- it is TO DIE FOR!!

You asked my favorite question; and one that cannot be answered in just one sentence!:D

If attending the brunch, do not miss: stollen w/jam, whipped cream and berries, lemon meringue pie and the cheese and tomato pizza.

For dinner, do not miss the penne pasta w/shrimp. Also, if I was the manager at Palo it would be a requirement for each patron to have the chocolate souffle. No one should leave Palo without experiencing that! OMG! It's wonderful!:p

No chocolate souffle at Brunch, but PLENTY of other goodies...go for the lemon merangue pie!

The mushroom risotto is divine and another vote for the chocolate souffle.

fish and seafood soup, filet with gorgonzola sauce, pasta carbonara.... and the ubiquitous, albeit spectacular chocolate souffle for dessert,,,

Went to Palo last week - we were a group of 12, and so in order to make things run smoother, Gemma (our amazing Palo server), brought out practically everything on the menu for us to share - I think she gave us every appetizer on the menu, we each had one or two entrees, and all the desserts!! I actually felt guilty eating all this wonderful food. I honestly don't even remember everything we ate, but I do remember some highlights:

The fried calimari was excellent. There was also a shrimp appetizer that was excellent as well. The pizzas were very good, but I preferred some of the other appetizers.

I had 2 entres - the lamb and the daily special, which was mahi-mahi: both were incredible.

Desserts were amazing. I sampled perhaps 5 desserts - I remeber the souffle, the tiramisu, the creme brulee, and the dessert pizza. All were (again) excellent, but my favorite was the creme brulee.

If you have enough people in your group (maybe ask for volunteers walking around on deck), i think the best way is to sample almost everything as I did.

(burp!)

Portobella mushroom - still dreaming about it 2 years on!!
Back in November cant wait to have it again.

"That's my girl".................Gemma LOVES to show off the food in PALO's: Just wish she could COOK some of the items for her poor old parents when she gets home!

Maybe she has learned the secret of the cappuccinno mousses! My FAVOURITE!

Nat,

It's so wonderful that you saw my post about Gemma. It is amazing that after 4 years on the Magic that she still has all that enthusiasm for her job. She helped to make this cruise (which as you know had it's stressful moments) a memorable event. Please pass on our utmost appreciation to her the next time you talk with her.

Regards,

Mike (but my feelings are shared by 11 other happy (and very full) diners).
