Can you order more than one appetizer or entrée? Or is that frowned upon.
We would like to try more than one menu item on our next trip (especially my husband who does not eat any of the antipasto or appetizers). We have only been there once and our server did not offer to let us try more than one.

Our server last cruise was adamant that we try a couple of other things so he brought half orders of them. Maybe you could just tell your server that you want this but you would also like to try something else maybe in a smaller portion.

Antipasta is the best thing at palo. Your husband is missing out

we;ve done palo dinner 4 times. At all but the last dinner, we've never had a problem ordering more than one app or entree. This time our server said "No, that is too much food". However, the table next to us ordered and received all but a couple apps and entrees on the menu.

I think it depends on the server but I dont think you'll have a problem getting more than one of anything.

We have been to Palo several times and if there was something we wanted to try there was no problem bringing out a smaller portion to try. We have ordered several appetizers with out any trouble. I think with in reason they are very accommodating. Enjoy! :) :)

You'll see a variety of reports about Palo service, most say this isn't a problem, however some DISers have described waiters who discouraged ordering additional items...fingers crossed you have an excellent experience

I would never go to any restaurant that was not an "all you can eat" place (and I don't go to those) and expect to order multiple entrees without paying additional for them. DCL considers Palo to be a "fine dining" experience. While they sometimes happily bring items in smaller portions for one to try, I believe they discourage ordering additional dinner entrees unless you end up not liking what you originally ordered, in which case they try to please you with something else. Palo does not mass produce the food like in the MDRs. The CMs hate to say no to any guest, so they may grant requests for additional food, but the only time Palo was meant to be "all you can eat" is at brunch. However, to not risk upsetting you, they might go ahead and fill all your orders anyway. It probably depends on your server, the chef, and the food supply! ;)

We got 2 additional entrees (full size, not smaller portions) when we did Palo. We didn't ask for them, they just brought them. Also had an additional appetizer. The server also felt that the chocolate souffles we ordered for dessert weren't enough, and brought tiramisu.

It seems to be up to the server, most of whom don't have an issue with extras.

Multiple diners at Palo and EACH time the server INSISTED we try multiple dishes. We've been fortunate and never had anything but Disney-worthy service.

Been 4-5 times and yes sometimes they try to insist that it isn't possible to get a extra half portion!

We usually order a couple of sppetizers and two pastas...small portions...each. We have also ordered two entrees each but got small orders so we could try everythbg. Every waiter had been very encouraging about trying as much as possible. Also agree wiuk someone about antipasti. I could just eat a couple of trays if thst!

By the time I eat the antipasta, the different courses off the menu and the to die for chocolate souffle.................I feel like they have to roll me out of that place. I cant ever remember leaving Palo hungry.

I have never had a problem ordering anything i want off the Palo menu, actually often the waiter brings additional items for us to share. Last year, the waiter heard us discussing pasta vs a chicken dish, and he ended up bringing the chicken dish we ordered, plus a "family size" of the pasta to share (which we had not ordered). I can even remember being at the brunch and being so full from the buffet and a pizza that i didn't want an additional hot item, but my husband was getting the chicken parm, he had overheard me saying to my husband that i would love to try it, so i would just take a bite of his. Our server brought me out a "mini" portion (two bites) just for me. I wouldn't worry at all. I have always found the service to be exceptional....and the food, amazing

I usually order two appetizers and we've usually had waiters insist we try more than one entrée. I once ordered a half-order of the lamb and a half-order of the gorgonzola pasta. They brought me a half-order of the lamb (while telling me what a hardship is was for the chef to do it as a half-order) and a full order of the gorgonzola pasta (which DH then shared with me). Our last time at Palo this summer, we had 8 people at the table and the server just said that she'd bring orders of 4-5 different pastas and then each of us ordered our own entrée so that we could all try multiple dishes. We've also had servers insist we try at least one other dessert other than the soufflé (which I simply cannot not order). I've read about others who've had servers not want to bring more than one appetizer or entrée but I've never encountered it. I'm allergic to seafood and I've had them modify dishes to be without seafood even though I've not actually ordered it and only mentioned it as a possibility that I discarded because of the seafood content.
