I would love to dine at Palo on our first night, but I hate to miss meeting our servers and being a "no-show" on the first night. I anticipate late dining on APL rotation,if this is the case,I wonder if it's reasonable to see the 6:30 Welcome show with the family then to Palo for 7:30 ressie, and then hit Animators for dessert with the kids around??9:30ish-I don't want to cause trouble with the servers on the very first night,we'll save that for night 2 or 3;) I thought we could just leave them a message that we were dining at Palo but would love to meet up for a Mickey bar after Palo Could this work?how long does dinner at Palo generally take? Around what time would dessert be served at Animators on late dining? Oh I'm full of questions and this is just the beginning-Yikes! P.S.-If you read this post and wondered about combining Palo chocolate souffle with a Mickey bar, don't worry I have thought this matter through completely and it works for me-Hey is there a midnight dessert buffet on the first night LOL

Dinner at Palo is definitely LEISURELY unless you tell the server there is some reason you need to rush.

Honestly I wouldn't worry about meeting your regular servers the first night, plenty of folks to go to Palo or dine elsewhere and meet the servers the second night. I wouldn't ever recommend rushing the dining experience at Palo.

Generally it's a 2-hour minimum when dining there. I've been out in 90 minutes (I'm not a big eater) and I've been there 3 hours or more with a larger group.

Enjoy! :)

I agree with Michelle. Don't rush. We let our servers know the night before that we would be going to Palo the next night. They arranged for our wine package to be available for us at Palo (can't recall if they gave us the card or sent it directly to Palo). They were not insulted at all.

How long does dinner usually take when you are dining at the other restaurants?

With early seating you are out of there within 90 minutes at the most, late seating can be a bit longer since the servers don't have to set-up for another seating that same evening.

Palo takes a while - but good things come to those who wait!!!!

It takes 45 minutes to make the chocolate souffle. YUM Can't wait.

5/31/03 here we come - our 4th DCL cruise.

Dinner at other restaurants take about 90 minutes as well.
