It has been 7 years since we have been on a DCL cruise how does Palo lunch work these days? Can you serve yourself ?

Palo brunch is now server-based instead of a buffet as it used to be. The $50 price includes as many items as you want to order, along with trays of pastries brought to the table.

According to the Points Guy, brunch is still all You care to eat, unlike the Prix Fixe dinner menu. Their review is here:

The last few brunches we did were all you can eat but you have to order off a menu and food is brought to you.

Obviously - alcohol is limited to one drink from the top of the menu for free - usually a Bellini or Mimosa and then any additional ones are charged.
