Palo Brunch Resevervation Question

Over 50 minutes on hold tonight to be told once again to check onboard, I am seriously considering cancelling this cruise and the next one we have booked and finally making the switch to RCL

That is really odd (not the wait time as MTO, FL and special rates came out this afternoon) Did you escalate it to Guest services and ask for their help? I know that sometimes that works out. Sorry you are having a hard time. I know it is frustrating to really want it squared away BEFORE you board, but I cannot imagine they would say you could not bring more people in to pay 30.00 a pop into dine at a 4 top table.

I'm sorry you're having a problem. But, really, do you know how many people would love to get special consideration to book things? There are set procedures. On DCL, you book Palo dining based on Castaway Club level. If two rooms are wanting to book the same dining, and each room is a different level, the only thing that you can do is the room with the earliest booking reservation books what they want. They are only able to select those guest linked to that reservation that are in the same room, or same CC level at that time. The second room must be booked once their window opens. At that time, if there is space, you can book the people in the room with the lower CC level. Generally, you try to get a reservation at the same time. 2nd best - a reservation close to the same time. 3rd best - any reservation.

With the #2 and #3 options, you then must visit the Palo dining changes desk as soon as you board and ask to have the two reservations merged/for the same time. Usually there's no issue doing that, since DCL does hold back some Palo reservations for booking onboard.

If that procedure is unacceptable to you, I suppose it is time to move on.

I'm not sure if it ever says the words "sold out".
Keep trying - I hope you're able to get it! For us I managed to get a reservation a couple of weeks before the cruise (I did check obsessively though).

As you can see listed below I am still able to select Palo Brunch, but Remy Brunch is marked Sold Out

Not asking for special consideration, just asking to use the two empty seats that will be at our table that I already booked based on my CC level and I waited until my in-laws booking window opened before I made any request.

Well, they don't "see" those two seats as empty. They only see a reservation at that table. And they only allow XX number of reservations at any given time. Until their window is open, you can't add them. And, I believe, what you'd have to do is cancel your current reservation and see if there's any availability. At that time, If there is, you can book all of you at the same time (4 top table, 1 reservation)

I have waited until their booking window to make a request

My apologies! I was thinking of each timeslot not saying sold out.
I would think it should be easy in your scenario to add two more once you are on board.

Sorry - I edited my post a little late - I meant adding them on board seems like it would be fairly easy. I hope it all works out!

We dine at Palo every trip, either brunch, dinner, or both, depending on the length of the cruise and brunch availability. As a party of two, we have always been seated at a two-top table, so I’m having some difficulty knowing how you can be certain that you will have a four-top table for your party of two.
