Palo brunch reservation question

My DD and I are hoping to take our second DCL cruise in May 2017. She will be 19 when we sail, 16 last cruise, so we were hoping to be able to partake in some of the "adult" activities. We would like to do brunch at Palo. How difficult is it to get brunch reservations? We would be on a 7 day sailing with 3 sea days.

The 3 sea days should make it possible to get a brunch. If you're sailing in an off season, even better odds!

I haven't had any problems getting a brunch reservation as a silver member on any of my 7 day cruises. You may not get your first pick, but something should be available. If not, or if you don't get your first choice, you can always go to the place listed in the navigator where they are taking reservations once on board. They usually hold back quite a few reservations so you can almost always get one at that time, just make it your first stop once you board.

We just had a full cruise on the Fantasy (August) and we could not get Palo brunch reservations before we left. Had absolutely no problem getting brunch for 12 of us at our preferred time.

I'd say you have a good chance of getting a brunch reservation.

As noted, if you are unable to book a reservation pre-cruise, just go to where the Palo dining changes are being handled once onboard (where/when this is will be noted in the Navigator you get in the terminal at check in). DCL does hold back several reservations for booking onboard.

I was on a 7-night on a full Fantasy during President's Week where there were a LOT of Platinum and Gold cruisers and I got a brunch slot no problem. (Actually ditto the Dream the year before - not as many Platinum and Golds that I noticed, but still full. Zero issues booking a brunch. And that was with only one sea day.)

As has been noted, it might not be at your "perfect" time, but there will likely be something if you're booking before the PIF date.
