Planning a 4 day cruise in Jan 2005 -- on the Magic - (a rare 4 day cruise for her) Wondering what anyone can tell me about the Brunch at Palo? Is it offered on a 4 day cruise? Which day? What's it like? Was it worth the extra $$s? (or just have a nice sitdown breakfast) Our group will be 6 adults (including 4 Sr's) Thanks

All I can say is don't miss it! It was the best meal of the cruise. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!!!! We were on a 4 day in January.

I have some photos of the offerings on my website. Although I prefer high tea, the brunch is a major highlight for my hubby. I'll admit that the buffet items are good (cold crab, mmmmm!), and I always feel so indulgent when I choose from among the desserts. In addition to the buffet, there is also table service for a variety of hot items. I particularly recommend the variations on Eggs Benedict. There is one made with spinach that is out of this world.

Yes, it is worth the extra $$!

No, don't just have a nice sit-down breakfast.

If brunch is offered on the four-day, don't miss it!

Great Thread!

DH, DS and I always love our servers, and can't stand the thought of having dinner away from them for a night. We did do Palo once for dinner and enjoyed it, but are contemplating a brunch only for our upcoming Eastern.

What is the appropriate dress for a brunch? Will DH need to wear a suit and tie or could kahkis and a nice polo shirt do? Should I be in a dress?

Thanks for your help

Khakies and a polo shirt is fine for the brunch.:D

A casual dress, or sundress is what I wore. (I can't remember?)

One thing I didn't forget, the food was the best I'd had! If I had a choice between Palo dinner or brunch, I'd choose the brunch. YUM!

Below is our DISmeet group photo taken during our Palo Brunch on last year's cruise. The only reason I had on a tie, was because I just felt like dressing up a bit. I don't have many chances to dress up at home. Go and enjoy yourself, I'm looking forward to our DISmeet Brunch on this year's cruise.

Do they serve the famous chocolate souffle during the bruch, or do you have to wait for dinner to get that?

Which lunch buffet would you suggest to miss for Palo brunch? My family loves seafood, especially DS-8, so I don't want to miss that. How are the Asian and Italian buffets?

I didn't see any chocolate souffle during our brunch.

Zandy595, we've done the Italian buffet, and IMHO, you can get just as good (if not, better) Italian food in your favorite resturant. We're skipping the Italian buffet, for Palo brunch. We did, however, like the Asian buffet, and don't want to miss that.

Hope that helps!:D

Thanks Mickeyhugger! That helps a lot. I was leaning towards missing the Italian buffet, but wanted to find out if there was anything there that shouldn't be missed.
