Palo Brunch question

Ok, I have a really embarrassing question I hope it's OK to ask. I made the mistake of showing my dh and dd the pics of some of the food. My dd got mad that she won't be able to go to the brunch with us--only because she saw all the yummy desserts that she won't get to eat. My dh then told her that he'd bring her something back from the brunch. I told him he can't take food out of the restaurant, but he said he would. How horribly embarrassing is it going to be if my dh asks/or just takes something out of the restaurant.
In the past when we were too stuffed to enjoy dessert the servers packed desserts for us to take back to our room and enjoy later on. I don't see why they wouldn't let you take a couple.

Was that food you had already started to eat? Or served yourself before realizing that you couldn't eat it? Different than just taking an extra item out of Palo.

I've been told that I couldn't take a "doggie bag" out of Palo for others.

It was a plate full of deserts that they went to the buffet and picked out for us and then wrapped up. I had to dig back a bit but I found a photo of it!

The desserts at Cabanas are actually quite fancy too. Your daughter might be satisfied with enjoying those daily at lunch! Or she might not know the difference if you went to Cabanas and grabbed a couple of those on a plate to take back to her.

That's a great idea!! I just wished my dh hadn't told her he would bring her something back, because she isn't forgetting he said it.

Can you order more than one thing from the menu in addition to the buffets? Yeah, a couple of things there have me salivating.

Sometimes it's quite hard to convince the server that you don't actually need that second menu item. It is nice when there are several people at the table because then you can order several dishes and share them.

We've had servers do that for us too. They insist that you must have dessert and just put a selection on a plate and cover it with plastic. I didn't want to make a fuss about not wanting it and just took it to be polite with no intention of eating it but admit that we ate it later that night on the verandah and enjoyed it. But I would have been fine without it. I probably could have gone the whole rest of the day without eating again; dinner was definitely on the lighter side.
