Palo brunch outfit...yes or no?

I love the dress! You will know where the sleeves fit you based on your height - so you can make that call. I felt really overdressed for Palo brunch last time we went. My husband was in a dress shirt and dress pants and I was in a dress - nothing fancy - but I noticed more people dressed like the people in the background of the earlier post. Lots of glorified tee shirts with pants, most of the men were in polo shirts. Didn't take away from how great the food and service were!

The shorts are very flowy and cover well. You can't tell at all that they're shorts. I guess just the fact that I know they're shorts is bothering me...

As for the length, they look way shorter in the picture. They hit me at the same spot a sundress would so I don't feel like they're indecent or anything.

If you cannot tell or see the shorts and the length is the same as a sundress then you will be fine because pretty much it's a dress like any other dress. As far as the sleeves comment being a bother, for us on the Wonder they got us our food so it the sleeves wouldn't be an issue because you wouldn't be putting them over the food, however I've heard on other ships they are letting you take things from the buffet on your own without the help of a server

What "technicality"? The "no shorts" thing? Also included in the dress code is "no capris" and I've seen women in capris sent to change into something "more appropriate".

The only places onboard DCL ships that the dress code is enforced in any way are the adult dining venues. I hope that doesn't change.

The technicality of there being leg holes even though the romper is made to look dressy and stylish. This romper is more dressy than some of the pants I've seen ladies wear to Palo.

Doing one of my favorite things and shopping for vacation clothes! I have fallen in love with this Free People romper....

Do you think it's acceptable to wear for Palo brunch? I know what DCL lists on their site, and yes it technically has shorts on the bottom. But do you think it could pass as a dress?? This is our first time doing the brunch so I just wanted to get some opinions.

That's super cute but seems like it be a pain to serve yourself at a buffet with those long sleeves dangling down.

It's cute, but I personally wouldn't wear it to Palo because it doesn't fit clearly within the dress code and it just looks too casual for me to be comfortable wearing it to an upscale restaurant, even for brunch. I would bring it and wear it to dinner in the MDRs or elsewhere. You don't want to have to worry about feeling out of place or worse, being turned away when you could just pack something that you know will work.

I also second the comments about the sleeves. We just got off the Wonder early March and everyone served themselves at the buffet area. These sleeves would make that very difficult.

Seems like it might be a bit short. Do the shorts show at all? I'm not sure I'd call it a dress, though. Seems more like a beach coverup.

I like it, though. Harkens back to my hippie days.

Maybe you could wear it with some dress slacks?

OK, I didn't pick up on the "romper" part (as in one piece). I thought it was a blouse with shorts underneath.

This is true. If the OP is a buck twenty and 6 feet tall, it would probably pass because it looks flattering and could pass as a short sexy dress. If it fits like it would on most Americans, it is going to look like a hot mess of a beach cover up.

It's super cute! I wouldn't wear it to Palo though, I don't think it's dressy enough.
