Do they have it? Is it hard to score a reservation because of only one sea day? Is it worth the time on such a short cruise?

I have read that there is a Palobrunch on the 4 day cruises. We are on the May 4, 2008 4 day and are hoping to do the brunch. I can book Palo, excursions, etc on Feb 4th so I know better then. I hope someone can give you a better, more definate answer!

We are on the January 27th 4 Day cruise and we are doing the Palo Brunch. Not sure if it's worth it or not yet... Didn't want to miss any of our dinners with the kids on short cruise! But from what I hear on the boards and reviews it is really worth it. Plus we are not doing any excursions on this cruise due to the fact our daughter is way to young, so what's $10 a piece for Palo :)

Palo brunch is well worth it! Nice buffet selections of breads, cheeses, seafood, salads, and dessert. Plus fresh made egg and pancake dishes, tenderloin, so many other things! Oh and pizza, tho we somehow missed those, last time.

Do NOT miss the stollen bread with fresh berries and cream. It is to-die-for...by far my favorite food on the ship.

Brunch on the 4-day is tricky to get, as it is only offered on one day. If you can get a reservation, however, definitely go for it. You won't be disappointed.

We did Palo brunch on our 4 day back in November. In my opinion, it was the perfect day to do it! We slept in a little, had massages, got ready and then had brunch (the kids were getting ready for graduation). The only downside (if you can call it that) is that there was SO much yummy food and by the fourth day I couldn't eat that much. :lmao:

Oh...it wasn't hard for me to get a reservation. I booked it at 9pm (west coast time) on the day reservations opened up. When you get on the ship, see if Andrea is working. He was so sweet...and cute.

Brunch is very good and if you are interested I would definitely try it. We got our brunch reservation right when they opened at 75 days on our 4 night. I was surprised there were any still available. I know on our 7 night cruise in 2006 at the 90 day mark the brunches were gone in less than 5 minutes.

DO NOT MISS THE BRUNCH!

My hubby and I went back in November. We saw Monica there too! LOL

We absolutely LOVED it! We are planning a 7 day cruise in 2009 and want to go to Palo's twice, that is how much it was worth it!

We were first time cruisers on DCL so we had to wait till the 70ish day mark so after much fretting I did manage to get a ressie for it!

Enjoy the cruise!

You will be able to pre-book one Palo dinner, one brunch and one tea. If you want to go to Palo more often than that stop by Rockin' Bar D when you board to have your name put on the waitlist. They will not allow anyone a second reservation (for each meal) until those who want them get their first reservations, but the waitlist does sometimes come through.

WONDERFUL!!! That is exactly what we want to do. Brunch on Key West day (HOPEFULLY) and dinner on a different evening.

We always do brunch on Key West day. It's nice to be able to walk off all of that food in such a lovely place!

:thumbsup2 PALO Brunch is fantastic. Not to miss if you can get the reservation!

I think most of you are missing the point of the thread. Yes, the Palo brunch is wonderful, BUT with only one sea day on the 4-night cruise one is in a bind.

Hey Momtobradley, we are too! Maybe we'll see you there.

Us too! Well, my mom and I anyway. We're leaving the husbands and kids/grandkids home and having a girl's trip.

We were on the Wonder for the 4 night cruise this past July. It was 6 of us in 2 separate rooms. I was one of the crazy ones who woke at 3am on 90 days out to make brunch ressies. :rotfl: I managed to snag one for each room but needed a third one for DH and I. But since online you are only able to make one brunch ressie per room I had to wait and see if I could get one once onboard.

When we got there, I didn't think we would be able to get a reservation, but decided to see, just out of curiosity. Much to our surprise we got a reservation with no problem at all.:woohoo: The dining manager told us that it usually didn't fill up that time of the year, and I guess with it being on the Wonder and a shorter cruise, time of year and all we hit the jackpot. We all got to go and at the times we wanted.

You are only allowed one Palo reservation (for each meal) per adult, not per room. If your reservations are linked you can make Palo reservations for all adults in your group, even if they are traveling in different staterooms, under your name. Just make sure DCL links your res. numbers in their system. Then, when it comes time to book Palo, you will see the names of all adults in your group in the booking window. Sometimes you have to make more than one reservation, depending on what table sizes are available.

I did this for the 6 adults in our group for our cruise last December. I was able to book for all of us under my name and didn't have to make one reservation per stateroom.
